We are not created equally and this triggers how we handle things, how we react to things, how we think, how we learn, how we understand, and how we grow differently in life, aren't you curious about why we see things from different perspective?. I am a believer that we all have a purpose here in life regardless of our race, tribe, color, and any other factors you can think of, everyone is unique in their ways.
Another thing I believe is that there is a reason for meeting everyone you interacted with in life and these reasons are either to bless them or teach them a lesson and in some instances, some people are meant to teach and bless people at the same time.
I have so many testimonies regarding that because I have met lots of people who blessed me and some who taught me lessons the hard way.
Many times I wonder if we have power over our purpose here in life or we have just been destined to come to play that role. As I mentioned earlier, every human has come to the world to either teach someone or more people a lesson or bless them and sometimes some people do both.
At some point in life, I believe in destiny but when it comes to the role we play in the life of others, I don't think it has to do with anything called destiny. I believe that the way we treat others is our choice because we are blessed with the ability to reason and that leaves us to decide if it is blessing others or teaching them a lesson.
(Please understand that teaching people a lesson doesn't have to be about hurting them alone, it can be about guiding them through some situations in life but in this post, it is actually about hurting others).
It baffles me a lot how people choose to hurt others over blessing them in the world we live in today, I once watched a crime show where a guy claimed that poverty made him a criminal and I felt angry. If I was the judge he would serve more jail term for giving me such a silly excuse. No excuse justifies inflicting pain on someone, even the holy books made it clear that we mustn't pay evil for evil.
It is so unfortunate that evil is not just done individually anymore, people come together to cause havoc and bring pain to the life of others. The world has gotten to the stage where people inflict pain on others for survival whereas they can just do something meaningful to earn and have a good life.
People hurt others just to show superiority, they bring pain to people's life just because they want to create fear in people's hearts and forcefully earn respect in the process.
That's not what our existence should be about and the evil men chose has made the world bled so much.
True life instance...
I met with someone today who had some financial issues and he told me a lot of things today which made me scared of people.
He graduated in the early '90s and got a good job, marriage was the next thing on his mind after getting good accommodation. He got married to a woman he loved so much as he claimed and they started having kids. In 2006, he got a contract worth millions and he was paid even before executing the contract.
Due to the trust he had in his wife, they run a joint account but things went from sweet to sour for this man. He claimed that the wife took the money and went away with the kids and credentials. He was in serious debt and he sold everything he had and even got several loans just to execute the job, probably he could get another one but he was unlucky.
Since then, his life hasn't been at ease. He became a drunkard in the process and had to start afresh which seems impossible because he wasn't getting the opportunity he needed anymore. He can't reach his kids because he doesn't even know where they are.
The person who is supposed to be a blessing became a lesson to him for no reason.
I said earlier that destiny has nothing to do with the things we do to others in life, we make the choice of either doing good or bad in life.
Being a blessing to the world costs you nothing as long as you have it in your heart to do something positive for others. It doesn't have to be financial because that's the first thing that comes to the heart when people seek help.
A simple piece of advice you give to someone can change their life, it could be all they needed to become someone in life.
I remembered in 2014 when a friend of mine told my mom he was quitting his industrial training at the bank, my mom told him that it wasn't a smart move but his parents were stubborn about it for a reason I don't know. In the end, he didn't quit and he is now a big boss at one of the leading pension banks in Nigeria.
To date, he still emphasizes that mom's advice helped him because it might be difficult for him to get another job if he had quit then.
Helping people should be a priority if you have the ability to do so and it is one of the things that read.cash inspires us to do. Giving others out of what we have earned also means blessing other members on the platform.
Touching lives positively is one of the great things we will be remembered for when we are long gone away from this temporary world we live in.
It's sad sir but its enivitable, some people get the feeling of satisfaction when they hurt somebody else's feelings. On the other hand, if we are making decision its really good also to think it more deeply and ask your trusted persons or close friends for some advises. And in doing that decision be ready for any circumstances it may bring.
