The first leg of the Uefa Champions League matches was completed on Wednesday night and we saw lots of surprises which made me came up with the topic, Are we seeing an all-English final in the UEFA Champions League?

What seems difficult before the match became easy after the matches because we weren't expecting the English team to get much success in the first leg as they were both playing away from home. Manchester City and Chelsea have certainly done a great job with the first leg results and if they keep up with this performance in the second leg, they are heading straight into the final of the Uefa Champions League.

We could be seeing the same thing that happened in the 2018/19 season when Liverpool and Tottenham met in the final, Liverpool emerged as the winner after they defeated Spurs 2 - 0. English final happening again would speak highly about the league which means the English Premier League stands out among other leagues around the world, we can't conclude on who is playing or who isn't playing in the final until the second leg ends.

PSG vs MAN CITY

This was expected to be the most entertaining game and it came out to be so but the results weren't what many football fans were expecting, PSG losing to Manchester City seems impossible but it happened last night at the Parc Des Princes stadium.

Manchester City manager chooses to play a dominating game which at first looked like it wasn't going to end well but it finally did paid off for them in the second half of the game. PSG opened the scoreline in the 15th minute of the game with Marquinhos scoring the opener, they were able to maintain the lone goal as they went through the first half forcing Navas to go through some difficult saves due to their errors in the defense.

The second half didn't work well for PSG as they conceded twice in the space of seven minutes which made Manchester City hit the spotlight, Kelvin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez contributed a lot to the dominance throughout the 90 minutes of the game, their efforts were crowned with both players scoring to give their side a big hope of playing in the final.

PSG would be coming to the Etihad Stadium to fight for a chance of going into the final which might seem impossible against Manchester City.

Real Madrid vs Chelsea

Due to Real Madrid's experience in the Champions League, we expected them to get past Chelsea so easily in the first leg that went down in Spain but it was a different scenario, we saw Chelsea played like a team who are ready to lay their hands on the title again.

The blues were so strong in the attack that the Real Madrid team at one point didn't understand the game but with time they were able to catch up and contain the Chelsea team in defense.

Timo Werner could have put the blues at a good distance away from Real Madrid's reach but he failed to convert the golden chance he had before Pulisic goal got the opener in the 14th minute of the match.

The joy of getting a goal lasted only for fifteen-minute as Karim Benzema stepped up to pull an equalizer for the Spanish Champions in the 29th minute.

The goal brought the match back to normal as both teams struggled to get the winning goal which didn't come till the end of 90 minutes.

The away goal gave Chelsea a good chance ahead of the second leg, if it ends goalless at Stamford bridge- they are on their way to the final of the 2020/21 Uefa Champions League final.
