My superwoman; the most valuable person in my life. Sometimes when I think about how life is unfair to me, I quickly remind myself that it hasn’t been fair to anyone either and whenever it takes something away from you, it compensates you with something but sometimes we are too bitter about what was taken and we turn blind eyes towards what it was replaced with. For instance, when it takes one's parents; it replaces them with a life companion that would always be there for you. When it took my job away, it gave me crypto blogging.
Talking about the most valuable person in my life brings lots of memories that make me emotional and regardless of whatever unpleasant things life has brought my way, I still wouldn't hold any grudges against it because, throughout those unpleasant times, it gave me someone who stood by me. Finding someone to stand by you during tough times is difficult because people only flock around you when things are going on smoothly with you, and it is one of the reasons why I have very few numbers of people I refer to as friends. People tend to cut you off during your tough times but will reconnect immediately they see good changes; I am not always in for fake love or pretenders. I wouldn't hesitate to use great words to describe my mother aside from being the most valuable person in my life because nothing stands above her except God.
Ordinarily, a lot of people would choose their mom as the most valuable person in their lives because of the mother and child bond but mine is different because it doesn't end with just the bond. My mother took up two roles in my life when I was five, she became a mother and a father to me. It is not easy being a mother and adding the role of a father to it makes the burden very tough but she didn't it allow it to break her. *It got to a point and I asked why she never remarried at least to ease her stress, she said that she couldn't share the love she has for her kids with any man.* She sacrificed everything including her career for her children's sake. She taught me everything I am today, she trained me the way even most men wouldn't do; she taught me to be a real man. There was a particular day we decided to play a prank, I told my girlfriend to call her that I hit her badly. She did as planned and my mom said, it is impossible. My son will never lay his hands on a woman, who taught him that? She told her to narrate what happened and after the fake stories, she insisted that I would hit a lady regardless of whatever happened. We later opened up to her that we were just joking and she said she trust her children not to raise their hands against a woman because they know what it means to be a woman. The conversation ended and I agree with her because everything she went through with us made me have so much respect for that gender, we usually think they are weak but God blessed them with so much energy but not for conflict, they use it towards building homes, life, generations and other.
As loving as she is, she is also a disciplinary officer who wouldn't condone any form of shit regardless of who you are to her. She wouldn't hesitate to scold me when I am wrong and defend me when I am right. **One of those memories.** In 2018, I got a job but my clothes were old. I told her about my challenges and, she withdrew her savings to get me clothes. We weren't staying together so she told me to meet her at a popular market in Oshodi, it was on a Sunday. We met and she handed the bag to me, I haven't seen her for months so I insisted that we sat and discussed. We sat in front of a closed shop talking when I opened the bag and found new clothes, I couldn't hold back tears. Passersby were looking at us and I felt ashamed crying in public at my age but her efforts to always provide for us when lacking surprises me a lot. She held my head to her chest and said, I didn't raise you to be weak. Stop crying, as long as I am alive you will never lack and I pray that God bless the work of your hands so that you will take care of me too". I cried a lot, I didn't want to leave her side because I was ashamed but she encouraged me. Today I am doing my best to take care of her even though I know I can't repay all her sacrifices. I can't count how many times she would prepare soup and also send foodstuffs, I many times ask myself if there could be any sacrifice bigger than that. She means the world to me and she is my superwoman.
I posted this article on Hive first, I am really tired today and wouldn't be able to write something new for today's article. Feel free to share about the most valuable person in your life in the comment section.

Thanks a lot. I will check in tomorrow as well.
This got me so sober, your mum is a rare gem and she deserves all the love and care... Mothers are just so sweet, the most valuable person in my life is also my mother, I do love her so much.
Who would love his or her mom? They are always there for us when no one choose to stay.
Brother, you have a very good and caring Mother and i pray God bless her with long life, good health, peace of mind, in tremendous ways. Thanks for sharing the memory you had with your loving mum with us.
Our moms are great and we must treat them like queens.
Moms are constantly concerned and valuable in someone's life; they strive to put a smile on their children's faces and would go lengths to ensure that they provide for us.....kudos to all the mothers out there.
They are amazing creatures that are created to love, they are doing a great job in our lives.
Beautiful.. These days unconditional love is hard to come by, but a mother's love is forever and ever. Shout out to all moms out there!!
That's true, their love is everlasting. From birth to death.
I also have asks "why life is so unfair" for so many times but then I also have realized it wasn't fair to everyone. We should just live life as it is. Our mother is the most valuable, they endure the pain of giving birth in this world @George_Dee
They go through a lot for us, motherhood comes with lots of sacrifice.
I will must say, that she is the generous lady, and the way she believed on you, while you throw a prank on her shows her love for her children.
My heart is full of warmth and joy and love from reading this post. It is near to impossible for me to say who would be mine, because between Mom, Dad and my Fiancé they have been the rocks in my life who have kept me balanced and given me different types of support and love through my life. I am very blessed to say I have 3 people in my life who love me unconditionally and who I love unconditionally. Thank you for sharing this, it's really beautiful and has sparked so many memories of my Mom and Dad as well 🌺
I had tears in my eyes while writing this, I wish I could share more instances. I believe that in life, we don't need crowd support and cheer to keep moving. Life has its way of placing few people and they will be enough to lean on throughout those difficult moments. These very few people deserve a lot of celebration always.
May God bless and prolonged your mom days, she is indeed a superwoman. Most women who face the same challenges as hers would take their kids to the village and run after other men. I salute her courage to face the challenges of raising kids alone.
I have read stories of how women abandon their children in situations like this and I am glad she didn't.
There is no woman of nowadays that can sacrifice such So I must say this to her "you are so strong omma" and I pray that she will live long to reap the fruit of her labor ijn 🙏
