The Uefa Champions League quarter-finals matches have been concluded on Wednesday night and we have the semi-finalist preparing to face each other for the finals.
Among the semi-finalist, we have two English teams, a Spanish team, and a French team as well.
Below are the names of the semi-finalist in the competition.
Real Madrid

Many football fans around the world are finding it hard to predict which teams would make it to the final spots in the competition, it has to be so because the competition is made for the best teams in Europe.
Real Madrid
The Spanish giant are currently in top form at the moment and getting through Liverpool doesn't look difficult for them in the quarter-final stage. We expected more than what Liverpool delivered due to what we saw the last time they both met in the final of the competition when Madrid defeated them, there were lots of speculations about the match.
Many football fans believed the match officials weren't fair with the officiating and that gifted Madrid an easy ride to winning the title, this season encounter was an opportunity for Liverpool to prove their fans right about their claims of been cheated then but they couldn't even create a spark against Real Madrid.
Madrid were able to get a win in Spain and a draw at Anfield, the fixtures ended 3-1 in aggregate since the scoreline ended 0-0 at Anfield.
Liverpool qualification for UEFA Champions League in the coming season is at stake due to the poor performance they are displaying in the English Premier League.
Madrid on the other hand are having a good time in the league and as it stands with 1 point between them and Atletico the league leader, Zidane men could end up winning the league as well.
Real Madrid would be playing against Chelsea in the semi-final and that would be a topic to discuss in another post.
Paris Saint-German
PSG are currently the title favorite as predicted by many football fans because they eliminated the current Champions of the competition, football doesn't work that way because an unexpected team can pull some unbelievable stunt to dump PSG out of the competition and I believe Manchester City is capable of doing that because of the caliber of players in the squad.
With their coach experience, they can shock the world. While considering the ability of the Manchester City squad, we can write off the ability of the French Champions in the competition under the reign of Pucchetino. The former Tottenham manager has reshaped the team a lot after they sacked Thomas Tuchel who also has helped Chelsea reach the semi-final in the same competition.
PSG reached the final of the competition in the previous season but were knocked off in the final by the best team in the competition and I believe the French giant came back stronger and determined this season, their zeal to achieve success has driven them this far and they could go all on to win the competition.
They succeeded in dumping out the team that defeated them in the final last season and this shows how much they have improved from the last encounter. The absence of Lewandowski is not an excuse because injuries are part of the game.
PSG would be playing against Manchester City in the next round of the competition, this would be a very tough fixture and I am looking forward to the match a lot.
Chelsea
I wasn't expecting to see much from the London club but they have managed to reach the semi-final after sending Porto out of the competition, the victory at Portugal as a big one and it helped them despiting losing 0 - 1 at the Stamford bridge.
I wouldn't want to call it a small victory like many fanatics are calling it because this same Porto dumped the great Juventus out of the competition in the round of 16 stages of the competition.
With the current form of the club, I see them doing what Liverpool failed to do even if it would be a difficult one for them to get past Real Madrid to the final. Even if they crash out at this point, I believe the team did a great job and we should be looking for them in the next season of the competition if they qualify next season.
Playing against Real Madrid would be a tough one and I believe it would be a difficult one for Real Madrid team as well because they are not doing anything special than playing football.
Manchester City
This would be one of Manchester City best season if they manage to win the Uefa Champions League, the Manchester side are currently the leader of the Premier League, and having two first-class trophies would be awesome for the club.
Manchester City is the only club to win both legs of the quarter-final matches in this season's Uefa Champions League, they defeated Borussia Dortmund twice to get their pass into the semi-finals and this shows how much the team is prepared to get something good out of the competition.
The Champions League doesn't get easier and playing against PSG is just a perfect illustration for this statement, it would be a tough encounter but we can't conclude until the match is been played.
