I have always wondered if it is possible to have a life without challenge, a life with zero worries, a life without failure? After much meditation, it got to know that there people with such life.
Only a lifeless body doesn't have challenges and when I say lifeless, it doesn't necessarily mean someone who has been buried.
In life, anyone who is not making any move in life or whoever chooses to sit in his/her comfort zone has a big chance of not having an encounter with failure but whoever is trying to be great in life will experience it. When we hear the word failure, it sounds really big and nobody wants it just because we all want to be successful.
Whenever success comes easily at everything we do, we really don't realize our full potentials but failure opens your mind to a new way of approaching a goal and it ends up making your success bigger in life.
As a young boy, Thomas Edison's teachers told him he was "too stupid to learn anything." He did not have much more success in the workplace, as he was fired from his first two jobs for not being productive. Even as an inventor, reports claim that Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. Luckily for him, attempt 1,001 worked out differently.
At a stage in life, we all have failed in one way or the other. A lot of people see failure as a halt sign in the journey of success but failure doesn’t mean the end, it is a sign to re-strategies, re-plan, re-program.
Failure happens for us to know our weakness, the knowledge we are lacking, and the effort we need to apply so we can buckle down against more difficult challenges that might happen in that long trip of success.
Henry Ford once said ”Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently” if you agree with that I do too because I have grown to know that failure gives room for improvement only to those who take time to understand how they failed or what led to their failure.
Note this, if you haven’t failed in life you haven’t aspired for something far greater than whom you are.
I had an encounter with a lady in 2008 during the General certificate examination popularly known as GCE in Nigeria, she failed the exams three times and lost all hope of making her papers anymore.
Actually we met during her fourth GCE; after sharing her experience with me I observed she was living in the Failure of the first GCE she failed.
Failure wants you to give up, it doesn’t want you to work harder but defeating failure has to do with working harder and not giving up on your dreams.
The lady believed her effort wasn’t enough so she quit studying and registered for a special centre in the 2nd and 3rd sittings but it still wasn’t helpful. Luckily for her she made it in the fourth sitting because she worked harder and believed she can do it.
That is what failure does, it makes your dreams look shattered, it discourages you, and it steals the hope of the beautiful future you have always dreamt of.
The thing you failed at in the past shouldn't be the reason why you are not trying again, it shouldn't imprison you, it should be the reason why you do be stagnant in life.
Everything you have always dreamt of is possible but it would only remain a dream of you don't shake off the negative feelings failure brought to you in the past.
The truth is that, failure itself sees the future even before you do and it tries to stop you from getting there.
If that is really your fate, then so be it. But we can still change it.. Do the right thing before you regret it..
