It is very difficult for me to take my mind off the various tragedy happening in the world today and after thinking deeply, I concluded that humans have brought doom to their world and now, it is so unfortunate the world is learning a simple lesson the hard ways. It is so unfortunate the world is learning a simple lesson the hard way.
During my primary school education, I do read a story in an English textbook which taught me lots of lessons even as a kid. The story was about "an old man whose children hated each other and wouldn't cooperate to do things together, this was really affecting them but they failed to see what their problem was.
On a fateful day, the Old man called his children to educate them on how they can work together to become very successful in everything they do.
He gave the children a broomstick each and told them to break it which they all did easily, he then gave them a bunch of brooms each. He told them to break it as a bunch but it was difficult for them to break it like they did when it was just a broomstick".
This illustration has always shown me the importance of joining effort/resources to achieve a particular goal or task easily and this lesson isn't just about working, it has to do with lots of things about life as well.
Coming together to achieve goals or tackling difficult issues won't be possible without love existing among the involved persons. This leads to my reason for coming up with this write-up on how continents, countries, nations, tribes have lived in hatred before today. When I say before today, I meant before the deadly virus called Covid-19 starting shaking the so-called great countries.
It is very unbelievable that the World could exist without threats of war, bombs, terrorist attacks, nuclear weapons, suicide bombers, trade war, drones attack, and so on for a particular period. Between February and December 2020, the whole world was struggling for survival from the hands of Covid-19.
At a point, countries at war had no choice but to donate relief materials to one another, doctors all over the world had to come together just to achieve one purpose which is creating a vaccine that would end the virus that has claimed the life of thousands of our friends and family.
What would the world have looked like if we have joined hands before today?
The sudden changes have made me conclude that the world today has underestimated the power of LOVE. I see the possibility of the whole world working together to achieve greater things than just nuclear weapons that can wipe out a country at once.
Suddenly no one has the time to brag about what kind of weapon they are working on, how wealthy a particular country is. If Covid-19 can be paid off, I know countries that will pay in multiple folds just to erase the existence of the virus.
If it can be defeated with sophisticated weapons am sure some countries will take on the virus and surely defeat it but all these are nothing.
So why can't we live a one in peace and harmony?
Orphans everywhere, IDP/refugee camps all over the world as a result of war, terrorist attacks, and so on. As a lover of peace, I am using this opportunity to promote my beliefs in love and peace to all my audience from all over the World, we can support each other, work together if we let Love grow among us as countries, nations, tribes, and so on.
Some part of the world has been at partial ease and the next thing they can think o is terrorism and war, people who survived the virus are losing their lives to terrorism.
We have seen war in some parts of the world, war threat here and there. We don't need all this, the effort we put into war can be used on something resourceful that would benefit the world in general. The millions invested in creating weapons can be used to make life a place for lots of people but all this won't be possible because we have completely trashed the love that once existed.
If I can be a voice, you can as well be a voice for this belief.
Speak the words and share the LOVE...
Selfishness and greed won't allow most people to join hands together. If we care enough and share enough, the world would have enough. The world has enough of our needs but never enough for our greed. When it is time for them to do evil, it is easier for them to join hands together like our government, rather than to do good. It's shocking to see how we got to this point as humans, just as in the story you shared. It's disappointing.
