I handled some seeds today at the farm and I was able to figure out some things about humans.
I am not planning to go into crop farming due to space but some vegetables are growing and I collected their seed for someone who needed it. While I was holding the seed, I tried to compare the seeds to a lot of things related to humans and I finally concluded that seeds can be compared to the dreams we have as humans.
Every living organism was once a seed and I hope we all understand that even though human doesn't use the term seed when talking about reproduction, I can confidently use the word "seed" in human reproduction because it involves the process of combining the male and female efforts to make an offspring.
Everything about life works in process and there are compulsory stages we must go through in life for growth or progress in everything that has to do with life.
This same thing applies to dreams and that's why I said that seeds can be compared to dreams earlier in the post.
What do seed and dream have in common?
The term "dream" in the post doesn't have anything to do with what you see while sleeping, it is about the things we plan to become and achieve in life as we grow. It is often referred to as different names but I love using the word "dream".
I have said many times in gatherings, posts, and conversations that anyone who doesn't have a dream has lost his /her purpose of existence. It sounds harsh but it is one big fact about life, the day we can't open our eyes to the land of the living is the only time a person should stop dreaming.
A lot of people have dreams but the percentage that struggles to achieve them is lower than the numbers that give up while trying to see their dream come true. It is improper for me to judge anyone because they dumped their dream when the journey got tougher, sometimes we need more than just motivational talks to cheer our spirits.
Dreams and Seeds...
People who are into agriculture will understand my illustration properly but I will try to break it down as simple as possible. Before a seed becomes a plant, it goes through a very challenging time because it will be dried first and buried into the soil.
Seeds are been dried before putting into the soil where they would decay and give way for a new life to emerge, this is a very challenging process because we know how it feels to be burned by the sun.
Seeds vary and the time needed to dry them isn't the same as well. To my understanding and experience, bigger seeds take a longer period before they get completely dry.
The dreams we have as human goes through the process just like seeds before it can become reality but not everyone can endure the process and that doesn't make you useless because you can retrace your step backward to correct every wrong you made while working towards achieving your dream.
Many people quit because they feel like they are going through worse just for them to achieve their dream, let me quickly remind you that the size of your dreams would determine the challenges you will face while trying to achieve it.
One thing you should know is that not all seeds survive the process but humans are blessed to be able to go through the process numerous times until they achieve success at it.
While the seed is the ground, we don't know what is happening to it but we all appreciate the seed when we see it give birth to a plant and later fruits for our consumption, flowers, herbs, food, etc.
This same thing applies to humans because people don't see or appreciate your struggles until you become successful at them.
While we are going through tough moments, let always remember that challenges are not there to take us down. They come up for us to make us better and make our life beautiful but we must endure those moments first to experience the happiness unfulfillment that comes after.
