Bitcoin stood 0.5% lower at $56,500, a drop of 6.5% over the past seven days. The first and largest cryptocurrency’s market capitalisation stood flat at $1.07trn, while trading volume was down by 12% at $33.8bn.
The capitalisation of the total cryptocurrency market was also flat at $2.56trn, having briefly dipped to $2.37trn, according to CoinMarketCap.
Among the other prominent cryptocurrencies, Cardano and Shiba Inu suffered the largest losses, both falling by 6.5%. Crypto.com Coin enjoyed the largest gain, rising by 17% to stand at $0.926.

Across the wider digital asset space, Ethereum Meta enjoyed the largest gains, rising by 3,388% to $0.0000009812. The cryptocurrency operating on the Ethereum platform has risen by 4,022% from the all-time low it sank to five days ago. However, it trades more than 99.9% below the $0.05132 record high it reached in 2018.
