What is medical cannabis?
1.Unknowingly, many Ukrainians oppose the legalization of medical cannabis, mistakenly considering cannabinoids to be narcotic substances that cause addiction.
In fact, the cannabis plant contains more than 100 different psychotropic substances — cannabinoids, which affect the human body in different ways. And for medical purposes, doctors use two types of cannabinoids — cannabidiol and delta-9-tetrahydrocanabidol (THC)
2.In medicine, it is cannabidiol that is most often used. Due to the lack of intoxicating properties in it, it is not used as a narcotic substance.
Medical cannabis: where it is used
The initiative to legalize medical cannabis is not new at all. In Europe and America, medical cannabis is actively researched and treated with it.
3.About 30 states have legalized exclusively medical marijuana, including, for example, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, South Korea, Great Britain, France, Italy, as well as African Malawi, Lesotho, Morocco, Zimbabwe and Rwanda.
