Mindset would fail you, Crypto won't.
As we sat in the lab waiting for the technicians to set up the necessary apparatus for our next practical, we engaged in conversation about different topics. Though we were much in number, the lab was big enough to accommodate us and there were enough bench and apparatus for each group.
We don't usually get enough time in school to talk about other topics outside academics as we're always either in class, at the lab, theater or on ward rounds but yesterday was different. The lecture and pre-lab orientation for pharmacology practical ended earlier than expected hence, the little free time for chats. Sitting down in groups, many were conversing at a time. It was a bit noisy, at least louder than should be tolerated in the lab but I guess, the technicians kept their cool because they knew the fault wasn't totally ours; they should have set up everything before then.
I knew how much this my friend doubts Crypto and online opportunities. That wasn't my first time discussing Crypto with him. I had already given up on convincing him about the opportunities in Crypto world. He always has his reasons for not believing in Crypto and if you are to engage in an argument with him, he would likely win. He has a lot of points to prove his stand and make you look like the uninformed or misinformed one when in reality, he is. I already decided not to talk about Crypto whenever we are together again. But yesterday seemed like a different day.
We were talking about opportunities that are out there after school and how one could make extra money even as a carrier person. In our own case, as a doctor. We talked about different currently existing investment platforms, their good and bad sides plus the risks involved. Also about how could one as a full time medical student be able to make extra cash in support of his/her sponsors. I didn't want to bring up issues concerning Crypto but he did brought it up.
He started by saying things about how he doesn't trust anything that is not endorsed by the government and therefore the reason he never cared about Crypto. His major problems is the fear of losing everything one day. He doesn't want to labour and ends up not reaping. He's still not convinced or sure of the future with Cryptocurrencies. He's also afraid that the government could actually win the battle over crypto and that would be the end of it all. He is concerned about the opinion that crypto is nothing close to being a real asset and could go into exile anytime.
In an attempt to make his worries more realistic and prompting me to read meanings to it, he decided to remind me of the recent crash. Did you not see how deeply Crypto market had fallen recently? So he asked. According to him, it is a big sign that crypto is not trust worthy and could fail anytime. I gave out a chuckle! To be honest, it was subconscious. I didn't mean to but he really sounded funny. Yes, both funny and sad to see a guy still thinking this way in this present century. A century of opportunities.
He wants to live a good life. He's willing to invest because he believes investment is a good way to make wealth. He believes in passive income and would want to earn extra income even as a full time student. But he doesn't believe Crypto to be the perfect platform for that. Not because he had tried and it failed him but probably because the government said it will.
He went ahead to point out some of the people he knew who went into Crypto but they are no longer into it and are even currently trash talking crypto because it failed them. The truth he doesn't know is that, crypto didn't fail those people. Lack of orientation, direction, patience, greed and their eagerness to make money as quickly as possible failed them. Infact, it is their mindset that failed them. Some people put their money into Crypto but not their faith. They constantly maintain the mindset that crypto could fail at anytime therefore, they are always the ones giving themselves heart ache about the price fluctuations. They make to pull out their funds each time the market dips because they are afraid crypto could zero down. By so doing, they constantly incur lost each time they try hence, the reason for them hating so much on crypto. Some of them jump into trading rather than investment immediately they are introduced. When someone goes into Crypto trading without learning the craft first, it is almost certain that liquidation is unavoidable. When we talk about usefulness of crypto, trading is just a part. If we talk about ways to make money from Crypto, trading is just a part. When I tell someone to embrace crypto like BITCOINCASH, I'm not introducing them to trading but rather, to all the awesome opportunities therein to explore.
When I see people complaining or running to pull out their funds each time the market falls, I laugh and relax. The truth is that, crypto has come to stay. There will be no end of crypto anytime soon, if ever. The price will fall but it will surely rise and even go ahead to keep setting new all time high. Crypto is benefitting the whole world even though not everyone wants to admit that. They are only but scared that Crypto is returning power to the people.
People who otherwise would still be moving from one office to the other in search of jobs are rich today because they embraced crypto. Those who otherwise, would probably be begging on the street are living the good life today because they put their faith in crypto. When we have gems like BCH among Cryptocurrencies which had been shown to be future promising and had proven it's authenticity as well as trustworthiness by all means possible. Further proving that the use of money can be as smooth and effortless. But then, there are people still skeptical about Crypto. If I have the power, I would talk to every soul on earth to choose crypto because soon, the world's financial system would be revolving around crypto.
We will see with the passage of time what is the path to these cryptocurrencies
