If BTC was doing its job, maybe there wouldn't be BCH and other cryptocurrencies.

I have heard people say that the crypto atmosphere wouldn't have been this toxic if only these other cryptocurrencies weren't created and they had left BTC to be the only crypto in existence. They also say that adoption would have been so much easier for crypto and the Government would have considered endorsing Crypto more.

And then I'm strigered to ask if they know the main purpose of crypto in the first place. Why was Bitcoin which is the first crypto created? Was it not created to make the use of money easier for the people? Was it not created for privacy and security? Was it not created to free the users from the shackles of centralization and manipulation by the Government through banks that was and still going on with fiat? I believe according to the Bitcoin white paper, that was at least the vision.

But less to none of those is being manifested by BTC today. Crypto like BCH had to fork out of BTC in other to keep the vision of Bitcoin alive since BTC was already being hijacked. The vision of fast transaction, low transaction fee, absolute privacy and total decentralization that we enjoy with BCH today. If BTC was still offering all of these top-notch benefits, then there definitely wouldn't have been need for BCH.

It is true that the rate at which shitcoins and and scam projects are being pumped into circulation today is alarming and worrisome considering the sanity and future of crypto. But saying that BTC should have been the only Crypto in existence for the success of crypto even though it is evident that BTC no longer represent the intention of Bitcoin is ridiculous. It is like saying, crypto shouldn't have existed.
