Can someone tell them we don't need to be saved from crypto?

It is heartbreaking to notice you are the only one not making progress among your friends or let's just say, you're probably not progressing at the speed the society validates.

This alone has pushed so many youths into petty and ugly businesses. It has also destroyed so many lives (ones supposedly with brighter futures). Impatience has always been an enemy of the society but the society keeps imposing it on its members via expectations, creating unnecessary pressure.

Youths go into drug, robbery, internet fraud and other fraudulent activities due to this tension created by the society; the one that says a person must have certain living standards at certain age.

While we all agree that society needs to change its definition of success and stop broke-shaming, we also know that this can't happen overnight or may never be wholly achieved.

But then, we're also aware of the role of Governments in all of this. If unemployment rate wasn't on the high side, the level of crime today wouldn't be as high as it is either. If Government could provide the basic needs of the citizens which is their primary role, things might be different. But are they doing that? At least in my country, the answer is a capital NO!

Crypto came as a saviour to many. I know a handful of youths making a living out of crypto. In a country where higher percentage of the people remain unemployed, where there is great pressure from the society and high crime rate, crypto has been a profitable tool.

Aside the fact that a few have become rich from their dealings in crypto ( trading, gambling or which ever word best describes it), others have gained employment with crypto companies and this has reduced the number of unengaged youths.

People already understand the risks associated with Cryptocurrencies. While some run away and dissociate themselves from it totally, others embrace it wholeheartedly, probably because they have figured out that the benefits outweigh the risks.

I don't know why the Government is constantly attacking crypto, trying to ban it at every slight opportunity while claiming it is for the people's benefit when it is obviously not. Why do they think we need to be saved from crypto when crypto is actually the tool handing us freedom from their manipulative hands?

They stopped their fiat banks from having anything to do with crypto companies and we were totally okay with it. Because crypto is a peer-to-peer(p2p) cash, we were and still doing well without the banks. Now, they've started banning crypto companies one after the other. Exchanges like Binance offer hustling arena for people who otherwise wouldn't have any means of making money to earn a living. Yes, I know the risks involved and how the exchanges are also there to take money from people but how are they different from betting companies? If these betting companies can be legal and remain certified to operate then, why shouldn't crypto exchanges?

Some people believe they have skills in crypto trading just as some believe they have luck in betting. Why the discrimination then if there is no ulterior motive?

They just want crypto out because they sense it as a threat to their fiat. They don't want to lose their manipulative power over the people just yet!
