Life's Lesson #2
Returning to those hues and the painted sky.
It occurs to me that this could be the reason for nature's colorful painting on the sky.
Of course, there's a scientific explanation for why the sky turns red and purple. But the color's purpose goes beyond that.
Everything in nature, including the colors , serves a purpose. Consider how certain animals have camouflage colors to protect themselves from predator.
Perhaps one of the reasons for the colors we see at sunset is to force as to pause. When the colors appears in the sky, it's difficult to stay in the trance of your day, whether you're at the beach or walking down the street. Even if you're not looking at the sky directly, the light changes. When you're in the golden hour, you can tell.
Also, perhaps the colors are meant to convey to us that, while there is beauty in shining your light to the word, there is also beauty in bringing your light within, receding beneath the horizon for a while to recharge your light.
There's nothing wrong with dipping below the horizon for a while. You are still shining your light as you recede; you are simply directing your energy to a different location.
Sunsets. There is so much we can learn from them.
