Collectible and gaming NFTs have proved resilient in the face of current market uncertainty and Brazil is consolidating itself as an important market for non-fungible tokens.
The "Blockchain User Behavior Report", a study on user behavior on the blockchain, reveals that Brazil occupies a prominent place in terms of adoption of non-fungible tokens and market share, having closed December in 3rd position in the unique active addresses ranking of collectibles in NFTs, literally glued to the Philippines, ranked second, according to the report.
In a broader context, considering all applications of non-fungible tokens, Brazil ranks sixth, behind the UK, Philippines, Russia, US and China. According to data from Dapp Radar, at the end of last year the eastern giant took the lead in the ranking that counts the number of unique active addresses, surpassing the US, which now occupies the second position.
In Brazil, the values are more accessible and compatible with the local currency. The good news is that the novelty has gained supporters among some Brazilian artists and digital influencers, which should help boost its popularity here in 2022.
