With Marketing "anyone" is the greatest
So far in modern times, there are legendary people for their great talent, there are some who are named more and others who do not have so many abilities but are known about them. This is all the work of marketing, in case you didn't know.
In the history of humanity, they have always found very prominent characters in their areas who have abilities, which end up making them legends and also called GOATs. Yes, a large part of them earned their great honor for everything they gave in their discipline.
And it is good that they are idols for their great contribution, another thing is that they are mentioned excessively or worse, being deified for barely breathing and that is not good. Marketing itself is not to blame for that, but that group of people in charge of oversizing that element.
The thing is not only because of the person who has a lot of marketing but also in the environment they are in. Two great examples: It is unfair that a great windsurfing, volleyball or racquetball champion does not have such great worldwide recognition for what he has done alongside a basketball, soccer or baseball player. Or it depends on the country, someone has more value for the fact of practicing a specific sport, than if they do it from other sports, it does not have the same value. Again, fault for the bad marketing of those agencies... OH YES, they move almost all of that.
Fortunately, social networks today make the merits of another lyrical or opera singer seen much more so that it is not only pop artists. However, the media do not give them recognition except when they want to (when they are paid to talk about them) for this very reason the press on radio and TV are increasingly decadent, following a very obsolete pattern today.
I can expand more with this point (and perhaps I will do another part, he encouraged me) as with most of the trends, the news is more for one product over another because "it sells more" is very absurd, unfair and obsolete.
