Spring is wonderful! A cold and snowy winter ends in many places. The flowers bloom in the spring and it's time to plant. What to Plant If a farmer wants to harvest corn, what should he plant? Rice? Obviously not! You must plant what you hope to harvest.
Likewise, what determines what an individual sows verbally and what he is supposed to reap figuratively. The Christian apostle Paul rightly said: "Whatever you sow it will reap". If an individual wants to "reap" the good, he must plant it.
So are we planting wisely? Will our words and actions give us the good things we want? Are we really planting what we hope to harvest?
Happiness is what young couples want to reap. To do this, however, they must plant carefully. What if they bought a large house that was heavily mortgaged? Suppose you bought a lot of furniture on credit. The couple managed to marry life with a lot of material goods. But maybe a husband and wife would have to work full time, even overtime, to receive extremely high monthly payments. Because of this and the responsibilities that come with it, they are likely to be tired of overworking and having little time for each other.
Due to reckless sowing, the poisonous couple could harvest the accident.
Others abandoned it later in life in the hope of financial security. But look at what happened to some people after WWI. A report states: "In Germany, the points who retired and could live comfortably on an income of 50,000 marks are at the height of inflation in the country, whose total taxes of 50,000 marks were not enough to pay. a pound. buy. of butter, so the money for the day was useless. "
In order to reap happiness and security, one must listen to the words of Jesus Christ. He said, "Keep your eyes open and protect yourself from all kinds of greed, because even though a person has a lot, his life is not dependent on the things he has." To demonstrate this, Jesus spoke of an illustration and of a rich man whose land he produced so well that he intended to demolish his warehouses and build larger ones to store grain and good ones. things. Then he would take things calmly: he ate, drank and had fun. But Jesus added, “But God said to him, 'Irrational, they are asking for your soul tonight. So who should keep the things you saved? "It is the same for the man who increases his taxes for himself but is not rich in God".
To be "rich in God," a person must focus on spiritual things. Through the prophet Hosea, Jehovah God expressed this as follows: “Sow righteously; reap according to loving goodness. In his farmland, when it's time to seek Jehovah until he comes and teaches him properly. God spoke to His lost people in the Ten Tribe Kingdom of Israel and advised them to do what is right. Like God, they would be sown or planted in righteousness. If so, what can you hope to collect? Jehovah's loving care!
The same applies to everyday human relationships. What can a person expect when they are generally cruel to others? As the Bible says, "the cruel man will free his own organism". On the contrary, the same saying goes that "the man who takes care of his soul with love". While the cruel man arouses enmity against himself, anyone who shows love to others treats himself because he enjoys his good will.
The alleged joy and satisfaction is sought after by some people who plant selfish desires without caring about what is right. Author Samuel Butler once wrote, “Everyone has a lot of bad jobs that need to be fixed and eliminated before they can do better. . . We should all sow our own spiritual oats. But will a person get real joy and satisfaction by "sowing wild oats"?
Maybe a man has chosen a life with sexual irresponsibility. What could I collect? True joy and satisfaction in life? Notice what the Bible says: “She [a prostitute] deceived him with all her persuasion. She seduces him with the softness of her lips. Suddenly he chases them like a bull going to the slaughterhouse. . . Until an arrow opens your liver. . and he did not know that it affected his soul. Syphilis can affect the liver as well as other organs, and this venereal disease can lead to death. But even if a person living immorally does not suffer from a deadly disease, God disapproves of his conduct. The apostle Paul said: “Make no mistake: neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor sodomites. . . he will inherit the kingdom of God. ""
Paul rightly said - he said that what was sown will be reaped - later: "For he who sows to his flesh, the harvest of his flesh will reap, but he who sows with him." The vision of the Spirit will give eternal life to the Spirit. Earlier, the apostle listed the fruits of God's Spirit as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, humility, and self-control. It will also have God's approval.
Every wise man wants to plant in a way that allows him to reap the good. Do you want eternal life in happiness and security? Then you will have complete knowledge of God and his word, the Bible. The divinely inspired psalmist said: “Who now fears Jehovah? He will show you how he wants. Your own soul will remain in much goodness and your descendants will take possession of the land.
