If you are reading this article you may be wondering which cryptocurrencies are the biggest? For this article we pulled our ranking from CoinGecko.com as well as CoinMarketCap.com. In case you are reading this article in the future, the data for this article was pulled Friday, October 2nd, 2020. We also put in the release date for each coin so you can gain a better perspective. And without further to do let’s get down to the ranks!

From this data we can see that the top 3 cryptocurrencies are currently: #1 Bitcoin, #2 Ethereum, and #3 Tether. This is not surprising as there is a tremendous amount of infrastructure built around these 3 coins. These coins are also some of the oldest on this list with Bitcoin being invented over 10 years ago! You can also notice the huge margin by which Bitcoin is leading the market cap. Bitcoin has a larger market cap then all the other 9 combined.

It's like Bitcoin tend to increase in some season , is it that Bitcoin does not have a fixed amount?

Its too new. If you think about gold and silver their value has been decided over thousands of years. One day bitcoin will be less volatile. For now just enjoy the ride.
