What is a Right?

Human Rights are a very hot topic.

And for good reason.

We all have an innate desire to be free.

More specifically, we want to be free to exercise all of our infinite rights.

Well, I know that I certainly do.

But, what exactly is a right?

A Socially Engineered Condition of Ignorance

Try the following social experiment:

Poll ten random people on the street.

Ask each of them to give you the exact definition of what a right is.

Most likely, not one in ten will give you the correct definition.

This is not an accident.

The ignorance of and apathy toward the truth has been socially engineered into human society for a very long time.

As a de-occultist, I'm going to reveal the truth right here on the front end.

I won't keep you in suspense.

Here, therefore, is the correct definition:

A right is any action or any behavior that an individual may take, which does not initiate harm against any other sentient being. Harm is the wrongful theft of one's life, rights, or property.

The language of this definition is very precise.

For example, rights apply to individuals.

The popular notion of the rights of groups of people is pure nonsense.

It is a complete fabrication of social engineering by dark occultists, who weaponize people's ignorance of the truth against them.

However, this is actually good news.

You, as an individual, were born with certain inherent rights.

Rights that can never be taken away from you by anyone else.

As we'll see shortly, only you can willfully forfeit your rights, under certain circumstances.

What Is NOT A Right

Rights are defined apophatically.

That is, by indicating what they are not.

Rights are any action or behavior that is not the theft of someone's life, rights, or property.

As such, we all have infinite rights.

We also all have the same rights.

Nobody has any more rights than anyone else.

Nor do they have any fewer rights than anyone else.

In this sense, we are all already equal in the eyes of Creation.

While certain political and social actions designed to help us obtain equal rights under "the law" may have good intentions, they are all misguided.

They operate from the incorrect notion that rights are granted to us by other human beings.

For example, by the government.

This is incorrect.

All rights are inherent to creation.

We are already born with all of them.

Rights We All Have That May Surprise You

Most people do not know or understand that all of the following are inherent rights that we are born with, and cannot actually ever be taken away from us.

They include:

  • The right to consume any drug or substance we wish to, even those which may cause harm to ourselves.

  • The right to drive at any speed where we can continue to maintain control of our vehicle, and not harm others.

  • The right to keep 100% of the fruits of our labor, financial or otherwise, without being coerced to give up any percentage against our free will.

  • The right to speak the truth, even when it deeply offends the listener.

  • The right to bear arms at all times, and to use any means necessary to defend ourselves from the threat of harmful action by others.

The Freewill to Cause Harm

As I mentioned in a recent article, we are all born with the gift of free will.

So much so that we can choose to act rightly or wrongly.

That is, we can initiate harm upon others, in violation of their rights.

There is no force in nature that can stop us from choosing the wrong action.

Only by lying to ourselves, can we actually violate natural law.

However, as students of occult knowledge, we already know and understand the Principle of Cause & Effect, from Hermeticism:

"Every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause; everything happens according to law; chance is but a name for law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the law."

Therefore, when people cause harm, there is a consequence.

It is inescapable.

The world is largely the way it is today, as a consequence of the aggregate moral choices we have made as a species until now.

I discussed this relationship between morality and freedom in this recent article.

The Forfeiture of Rights

There is only one case in which a person may actually lose all of their rights.

This happens when they willfully initiate harm to others.

Let me give a concrete example.

Let's say you are walking down the street, minding your own business.

A man with criminal intent approaches you, and, brandishing a weapon, threatens to attack you.

He keeps coming toward you, showing no signs that he is going to stop.

He clearly has no intention of respecting your right to remain unharmed in your body.

At this very moment, this man has willfully forfeited all of his rights, due to his immoral behavior.

Including his right to live in the world.

You may and should defend yourself with any force necessary -- deadly or otherwise.

Acting thusly, you are entirely in the right.

I'm not saying that it is necessary or even prudent to always use deadly force.

However, doing so is always right in this case, and not wrong.

You would not have committed any violence by doing so.

Now, suppose the attacker later willfully repents his evil ways.

And then backs this repentance up with consistent right action.

He has reclaimed all of his previously forfeited rights.

This would be true, so long as he remains loyal to his new ways, and respects the life and rights of others.

Regardless of what he may or may not have done in the past.

The Internal Moral Compass

The moral compass is our internal mechanism to help us navigate right versus wrong action.

With the exception of primary psychopaths, we all have an innate mechanism that helps us experience certain emotions as a consequence of our moral choices.

Feelings like guilt, shame, remorse, regret, and anger all serve as powerful guides.

However, it is only when we finely tune our perception of these with a clear understanding of objective morality that we can strive to act rightly.

Knowing the objective difference between right and wrong action is the first step.
