Flood Of Abundance

First sunday sermon in the month of September by pastor Adeboye

He explained Abundance as a large quantity, over flow. Therefore, our God is a God of abundance.

So, he continued by saying there is nothing glorious in poverty,there's nothing glorious in lack, there is nothing glorious in begging before you can eat, it is difficult to shout hallelujah when you don't know when you will pay your rent for this month. wether devil likes or not as a child if God you will prosper

Jehovah El shaddai was mentioned in the Bible. According tho the Bible scholars it is much like shaddai , and from which many believe it derived, is shad meaning “breast” in Hebrew. mums breast has enough milk for baby till the baby say it's enough. That is how flood of abundance is, it can never finish.

According to John 6:5-13 the Bible tells us about a crowd to be fed and there was a young boy that had 5 loaves and 2 fishes, the lord took the small meal and fed everybody and the Bible said there were 12 basket left over.

the issue about this topic flood of abundance is not about the abundance because our God is already a God of abundance and when he blesses you it is always in loads that is why in my native language, yoruba they regard the lord as “olodumare" .odu means something very big. Therefore our God is very big so as his doings are very big and in a big way.

he also said what shocked him about this topic was the flood because it means overflowing water and we all know abundance alone is powerful so when we are now talking about flood of abundance so basically flood of abundance simply means extra ordinary abundance that's abundance beyond ordinary.

when we go through the Bible scriptures we get more understanding on it

1 Peter 1:8 he talks about joy unspeakable, joy so much it's even difficult to speak about it

phillipians 4:7 it talks about peace that passes all understanding

acts 19:11-12 it talks about God performing special miracles, a miracle is already a special intervention of God in the affairs of man. now he his talking about special miracles that is special, over special divine intervention 😂😂

acts 5:14-16 it talked about miracle been performed by the disciple, then it went on to talk about a man called Peter anointing in the shadow, his anointing was so heavy that his shadow was healing the sick. Wow 😳 imagine someone's shadow is so anointed that it can do miracle.

when you want to talk about flood of abundance and you want to relate it to the material aspect

1 king 10:27 it talks about king Solomon having so much money that silver was regarded as stone as a matter of fact during the reign of Solomon he said he doesn't want to see silver in the palace that all should be put in the backyard anything less than gold that he doesn't want to see them. That shows how abundant he was in terms of wealth.

he said a story about when he became general overseer in 1981 there was this young tailor and very good at his job. he came to him and said “ daddy, I don't have money, you buy the clothes and I will sew your suit" that he can sew very well and pastor Adeboye told him a day will will come when you take your money to the bank, the manager will say what job did you say you were doing 😂😂 you said you are a tailor? so where did you get this kind of money? That is a flood of of abundance.

flood of abundance extra ordinary abundance, he talked about some people who thinks they are rich and they don't know the meaning of being rich until they hear of people that are truly rich

he told us another story of a man who went out for a walk in the morning with some if his body guards. then he saw a factory at the out skirt of the town and for normal factory they are always dirty. so he asked his bodyguards “what factory is that"? and they told him that is where they made rolls Royce. he shouted what!, that is where they made the car I ride and it's as dirty as that?.... so he told his bodyguard let's visit them and his bodyguards questioned him.....what are we going there for?

on getting there he asked he wanted to see the owner of this place, so the manager called the owner and he came out. The man told him I want to buy this place. The owner laughed 😂😂 then asked him do I look like someone who wants to sell and the man with body guards told him I will make you an offer you can't refuse 😂😂😂 tell me what will be your likely profit in the next 10 years? and add it to the price of the factory and I will pay. he only went for a walk and he bought a factory. that is what we called rich 😂😂😂

he also talked about when he read a newspaper and in the newspaper an emir has over 500 rolls Royce it were all customized billed. imagine having only one you know how proud you would be?.

if you really believe that you can experience the flood of abundance you have to know that it can create a problem. reading the scriptures

Luke 5:1-7 Peter caught so much fish, it filled 2 boats and the 2 boats were sinking. a flood of abundant can sink boat

Deuteronomy 8:11-18 God gave a warning when you are living in a house that you have not built and when you have eaten and you have full...... do not forget God.

you might be wondering, why would God give such warning? because he knows that flood of abundance could allow a man forget God.

1king 11:1-4 it told us about Solomon the man that regarded silver as stone, who had 700 wives and 300 concubines, he really had a flood of abundance but eventually his heart turned away from God. a flood can be dangerous.

This flood of abundance is available for everyone if only you come to him. Because h said in his word in

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these. things shall be added unto you.

When you seek him first the kingdom of God and his righteousness you shall experience the flood of abundance.
