First of all if you want a unit that is easy to use and can dish out a lot of damage Ganyu might be perfect for you.
Ganyu is one of the most currently used 5 star characters in the game as of now, along with Xiao, Hu Tao, Zhongli, Venti, and Childe. These characters are mainly used cause of how mich damage can they do in one hit or how can they use their skills as a support for the main damage dealer.
Ganyu is mainly used in the current meta because of her high damage using only charged attacks that can pretty much give the same ammount of damage almost all dps characters do using their skill.
Ganyu's main damage is from her charged attack "Frost Flake arrow" and "Frost Flake Bloom". Ganyu has two charges for her attack. The first charge is just a normal arrow that can deal cryo damage, while the second charge is for the frost flake arrow.Frost flake arrow is basically Ganyu's charged attack using a bow that can deal more cryo damage and on hit will create the frostflake bloom. Whats the difference between Frostflake arrow and frostflake bloom if you ask. the differemce is that frostflake arrow is like a normal attack using a bow with cryo damage while frostflake bloom is like the second phase of frostflake artow which deals an AoE attack. This is why most people who uses Ganyu only uses her basic attack because of the aoe.
Ganyu's elemntal skill is called "Trial of the Qilin". Using this skill ganyu will leave an ice lotus and dash backwards. The ice lotus will taunt enemies causing them to attack and gather on the ice lotus. after a few seconds the ice lotus will then explode causing cryo damage. Activating Ganyu's constellation "The Auspicious" will give you another charge for the skill. Using this skill will helo you gather up enemies away from you and giving you time to do the Frost flake arrow charged attack and dealing an aoe attack on the enemies gathering on the flower.
Ganyu's burst is called the "Celestial Shower". This skill creates an area where icicles will continuously fall for a short period of time hitting enemies inside and dealing cryo damage. This skill is a great help if you plan to use Gnayu as a support.
Weapons
For weapons Ganyu can use almost any weapon that have Crit rate/damage
The Skywards Harp and Amo's Bow is a great 5 star weapon for ganyu.
the Skyward harp give a little extra aoe damage and crit that can really helo Ganyu guve a lot of damage.
the Amo's bow is also a great weapon for ganyu because it gives a lot of attack stat and also gives a little more damge the more time that the arrow is in the air.
The Scarificial Bow and Stringless are also good for Ganyu for a 4 star weapon.
the Sacrificial bow can help you use your elemtal skill 1 more tume if the skill deals a crit on an enemy.
the Stringless is also good since it gives elemntal mastery helping you give more damage if you do an elemental reaction.
Artifacts
For artifacts Ganyu can use blizzard strayer and gladiators finale
you can either use a 2 piece Blizzard strayer and 2 piece Gladiators Finale OR a 4 piece Blozzard Strayer.
2 piece Blizzard Strayer, 2 piece Gladiators Finale
using this set you can deal more damage for your charge attack because of the 2pc bonus of blizzard strayer that gives 15% extra cryo damage and the 2pc bonus of gladiators finale which gives 18% extra attack stat.
4 piece Blizzard Strayer
Using this will simply give you more crit rate for enemies that are frozen with this you can surely deal more cryo damage.
Artifact Stats and Sub Stat
For the stat of the artifacts you can use
Flower: Hp main stat, Crit rate/Damage or attack sub stat
Feather: Attack Main stat, Crit rate/damage for sub stat
Timepiece: a same as the feather
Goblet: for this you can use a cryo damage Goblet with the same sub stat as the others.
Circlet: Crit rate/ damage for the main stat and the same as the others for the sub stat
Remeber that Crit damage and crit rate should always be at a 1:2 ratio where the crit damage is higher.
Best Teammate and Supports
For support you can use Venti, Bennett, or Fischl.
Venti's burst can be used to gather up enemies helping Ganyu deal damge to thise trap inside Venti's burst.
Bennett can help Gnayu do more damage using Bennetts burst.
Fischl's skill can help Ganyu do elemntal reaction causeing more damage to the enemy.
Ganyu is one of the best characters in the game if you want to deal a lot of damage and she is simple to use.
