Virtual MOA Signing

A Virtual MOA Signing was conducted between Cagayan State University through University President Urdujah G. Alvarado and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region II through Regional Executive Director Gwendolyn C. Bambalan forged the pact of close cooperation between the two agencies for the full mobilization of the “ENR Ambassador Project”. Under this project, 15 CSUans were chosen as ambassadors who will promote environmental advocacies.

The following student ambassadors are the following:

-Jayzalyn Verdadero (BS Information Technology)

-Jake Angelo Biraquit (BS Education)

-Kechy Boy Casiliana (BS Education)

-Reymark Ruatos (BS in Agriculture)

-Zenas P. Marcos (BS Education)

-Benmar Torres (BS Education)

-Honeyleth Cabael (BS in Agriculture)

-Arvin Garia (BS Hospitality Management)

-Hazelyn Pearl Mayora (BS Accountancy)

-Aubrey Nicole Reyes (BS EGE)

-Jamiela Estabillo (AB English)

-Nielvin C. Consejo (BS Fisheries)

-Aleczander Carlo Dig Anzo (BS Information Technology)

President Alvarado, in her message, expressed her utmost commitment to the project. “We promise that we will deliver the output you expected from us” she further added. She also identified the projects that will be undertaken by the ambassadors which will include tree planting activities, mangrove restoration project, solid waste management and bantay ilog, dagat, at bundok project. On the other end, DENR RED Bambalan thanked CSU for responding to the call of partnering for this initiative as she said that “we believe in your role in molding the youth toward leaders in nation building.”

With the province experiencing the palpable effects of human degradation to the environment in recent weeks, the Agreement came as a timely solution to engage the youth in promoting national environmental awareness.
