I would say casters cutthroats. a special forces team that was used in the Aleutian island's campaign in 1943. they consisted of about 100 to 150 men. most of them were native and white trappers, hunters, and guides are chosen by the army to fight the Japanese in the cold, rocky environment of the Aleutian Islands. they were used to gather intelligence, destroy Japanese supply lines, execute high-ranking officers, and so on. their equipment included the 1894 lever action, a scoped Winchester model 70, and the 1903 Springfield. also, they carried pistols such as the colt victory model, and a hunting knife. they wore snow camo clothing, snowshoes, and a campaign hat (park ranger hat). they would live off the land and eat wild game. they used canoes to travel. these men were known for their brutal tactics, often leaving no prisoners, and sometimes, the natives would even scalp (cut the hair and scalp of the head) the Japanese to frighten them. the Japanese eventually left the islands thanks to Castner's Cutthroats.
