Is there someone who doesn't like eating? I'm pretty sure there is no one, because we love eating food, speaking of being a FILIPINO! So here are the list of my favorite foods some may come from foreign countries but most are Filipino dishes. Get your tissues ready you'll be drooling lol
1. Paksiw na bangus
For some of you who might not know about the Philippines, if I'm not mistaken Bangus or Milkfish is our national fish. It is famous for its belly fat and abundance of bones. Basically this dish is fish boiled in vinegar plus any other ingredients like garlic, ginger, onions, black pepper, bay leaves and siling haba those long peppers that are color green. The vinegar helps in the prohibition of bacterial growth in layman's terms it prolongs the dish. Fun fact every Filipinos instinct when served with this dish is to get the part where the belly fat is big like the head or mid part of the fish. Just remember to remove its many bones.
2. Pancit Canton
Next on my list is the instant noodle dish we call pancit canton as opposed to the soupy mami noodles this one is dry. Best food to eat when you're lazy or when you have small amount of time in making a meal. I'd like to eat pandesal together with pancit canton in the morning. I also love eating pancit canton in the afternoon during merienda or snack time. There are so many flavors to choose from like calamansi, chili-mansi, sweet and spicy, extra hot and others. There are also many other brands to choose from but I'm good with lucky me brand.
3. Burger
This isn't a Filipino dish but this is the most loved food every Filipino mouth wants. There are wide choice on where to buy burgers. I'm not picky eater I totally love trying out every burger restaurants most notable are from Jollibee, the Yum burgers. I'm also loving those cheap but taste good Angel's burger. I also love burgers stuffed with pipino or cucumber and those with coleslaw. Because i like eating crunchy foods they are healthy as what I have read online. I still haven't had my taste on those burger from Burger King.
4. Chocolate cupcakes
I love everything that is chocolate. And i also love pastries and desserts so this chocolate cupcakes are thumbs up for me. Did you know that a hundred grams of chocolate can make you feel happy because there is an enzyme or Amino acid that triggers our brain to releasing happy hormones. So if you plan gift for all occasions better gift me with anything food that includes chocolate is.
5. Tinolang manok
This dish is my comfort food any sour soup and chicken meat is my preferred meat to eat because it cooks and gets tender easily. This dish is so simple so its easy to prepare. Better put some malunggay that provides enormous vitamins and minerals needed for our nourishment.
6. Arroz Caldo
This this sounds Spanish maybe this dish is inspired by them. Another comfort food of mine at times like this, cold breeze Christmas season or wet season here in the Philippines. What I love about this is that it packs all the things i needed for a whole day. Fried tofu, boiled eggs and chicken makes it protein rich essential for muscle building and cell regeneration. Plus there are fried garlic and spicy bird's eye chili for added spice. This porridge will surely keep you warm all day.
7. Pancit Bihon
Would you believe if I say our love of eating anything noodles we got from trading with Chinese long ago? Noodles are a must on all occasions they represent long life. This dish is balanced with carbohydrates we need for our daily work and vegetables give us vitamins and minerals we need for a healthy body. Meat and quail eggs provide protein for our muscular system. Plus it is best to eat pandesal with any noodle dish like this. Sprinkled with the tangy taste of kalamansi.
I have so many food that i like eating but I am tired mentioning them here. If you like these dish please say so in the comments or you can also rate each dish which do you want to eat more? Until then see you soon on my next updates.
