Good morning everyone. Hope you guys are doing well in this pandemic situation. I'm also well. Today I'm going to write about our country's nature. And the meaning of loving nature.

Actually to love nature means to love ourself. Proximity to man and nature can keep the world alive. Whenever man adopts nature, he becomes a man of nature, a man very close to the land and the trees. And whenever man moves away from nature, he brings his own destruction, as well as that of the earth.

Man and nature complement each other, without nature such a man does not live; Similarly, besides human beings, nature also has no value. To love nature means to love oneself. These mountains, forests, fields, rivers and seas are always dedicated to the welfare of the people. We find nature when we go to sea, we find nature when we go to the mountains. This is the endless stream of the mountains, this is the turbulent waves of the sea that brings indescribable feeling to the human mind, this is the green trees of the forest, the wings that create the unparalleled natural beauty.

The city we live in now has no nature, no green fields, no flowing rivers, this city made of hard concrete stone seems to have turned our lives to stone. Buck, Gangchil, Shalik are not here. There is no diving here, no teenager playing hide and seek with the blossoming shuffler. We live in a noisy but lifeless city or we are forced to.

There are very few cities in the world that have rivers on three sides. As such, Dhaka could be a wonderful combination of nature and modern architecture. But we have not been able to protect the rivers, we have been killing the rivers in daily aggression and attacks. Those who have been given the responsibility of guarding this river have betrayed the deposit long ago. Just as Dhaka is the second dirtiest city in the world, the Buriganga is an impossibly smelly river. However, the Meghna is directly connected with this river, through which goods were once transported across the country by sea.

Bangladesh is a riverine country. Here rivers are not just a means of transportation or a source of fisheries, rivers are a part of our lives. In the southern coastal region where I was born, the river is the daily companion, life and livelihood of the people. We spent our childhood, our adolescence, our youth on the banks of this river, we grew up with the tide of the river, we learned to appreciate life.

On the banks of that river, our homestead has been built; His name is Bishkhali. I don't know why Bishkhali was named. Maybe a prince jumped into this river after eating poison for a princess. We have seen that one side of the river breaks, the other side becomes char; Gradually that char became a settlement; There were fights and riots over the ownership of that char. Manik Bandyopadhyay's famous novel Padma Nadir Majhi's Hossain Mia built a house on the Moina Char at the mouth of the Meghna with Kuber. There are thousands of Kubers like this, not on land, but on the river.

In our childhood, we saw that during the rainy season, the two banks of the river would be filled to the brim. Occasionally rows of trees and houses could be seen. Those whose houses were a little low had to be watered for a few days. When it rained for several days in a row, the boat was the only means of transportation. Some chose boating for a living.

That river is no more. Boat-launches still run on the river, and cargo ships arrive from distant ports. But fishermen are not seen fishing at night.

Rabindranath regretted giving back that forest. There is no love, no affection because there is no nature in the city. It was with this love that Rabindranath of Jorasanko ran to the banks of the Padma. His poetry, his songs, his short stories are all about nature, the Padma and the green desert life on both its banks. He wrote Sonartari while sitting in this Padma boat. River means not only crossing, river means not the only movement, river means life, river means dream, river means love.

We consider the Sundarbans to be a world heritage partner, claiming to be the largest mangrove in the world. But we are not doing anything to protect that Sundarbans; We are also killing the world-famous Bengal Tiger. I have killed many trees and plants invented here. Describing the Sundarbans, forester Khasru Chowdhury writes: ‘Many southern tributaries of the Ganges, Padma and Meghna merge into rivers and seas in the area from the Adidanga estuary to the Meghna estuary. As a result, from Midnapore in present-day West Bengal to Chittagong in Bangladesh, the second-largest estuary in the world has been formed .... Due to the expansion of settlements and the development of farms, the area of the Sundarbans will now be more than 10 thousands square kilometres. Of these, rivers and canals cover an area of more than 3.4 thousands sq km. Bangladesh covers an area of 6 thousands square kilometres of the Sundarbans. The water share is more than 1.8 thousands square kilometres. The natural rivers are Kalihati and the Sundarbans of India and Bangladesh. The vegetation of the Sundarbans includes roaring, keora, Sundari, bain, animal golpata and animals include tiger, deer, wild rooster, fox etc. Without the Sundarbans, there would be no such thing, nature-destroying people do not understand.

Bangladesh is called the land of 13 hundred rivers. In fact, there is no exact calculation of how many rivers there are. Many rivers have died, many rivers have lost their speed in the middle. Many rivers we have killed. So if we want to save Bangladesh, if we want to save nature, we have to stop killing rivers and forests immediately.

Look at the border of Bangladesh to the north and east, where the mountains end, where Bangladesh begins. We got plain land, we got rivers, we got Sundarbans. What is this or less? Nature is not just in the mountains or in the sea. Also in the plains; There is love in people. Nature is rewritten. people badly today because there is no such love.

I hope you will like my writing.
