Most of the time, you aren't even aware that you are creating a habit, and it is only when you try to break it that you realize how powerful it is.

By eliminating habits that waste our time and energy, we can devote more time to things that will make our lives better and happier.

If you want to live a better and happier life, you should avoid the following seven habits.

Spending time on social media is a waste of time.

Social media is akin to a black hole from which it is impossible to escape. You've probably had the experience of opening a social media app on your phone and losing track of time for an hour without even realizing it! The streams go on and on, but your time is limited.

You must be aware of your limited time and take steps to make the most of it. Limiting or even eliminating your use of social media should be a primary focus. Consider how productively you could spend your time on something else!

If you find yourself easily sidetracked by social media, keep your phone hidden when you're working on something important.

Being envious of others.

“The grass is always greener on the other side,” you've probably heard. It is human nature to be dissatisfied with one's current situation. If you have this propensity, you will always be envious of other people's accomplishments, which will negatively impact your mental and emotional health.

When you have less faith in yourself or have little concerns about something, you become envious. Adopting a grateful attitude is one of the finest ways to deal with envy.

Frequently Telling Lies

Everyone lies from time to time, and it is thought that lying is a natural aspect of human nature. If you continue to tell tiny lies on a regular basis, it will become a bad habit.

And you'll have the confidence to tell even bigger lies, which will have a significant detrimental impact on your life.

Remember that anything built on the foundation of falsehoods, whether it's a profession, a love, or anything else, will eventually crumble.

When things are held together by lies, they fall apart so quickly.

Getting sucked into a drama.

We don't know how easily we might become engrossed in unneeded drama. This usually occurs when you start poking your nose into other people's affairs or when you become enraged over trivial matters.

It is a huge waste of time and energy to get involved in other people's affairs. Instead, concentrate on your own life and how to reach your objectives. When we put our efforts into something we want to accomplish, we naturally avoid drama.

Being a Yes Man!

We are sociable animals, so it's only natural that we respond to other people's requests for help or company. Even if you don't want to, you might say "yes" to someone. For example, you might agree to go to the movies despite having a lot of work to accomplish because you are afraid to say no.

It's always possible to say no. You don't have to come up with an excuse to say no. You only have so much time, so it's best to spend it on things that matter to you.

As an adult, you must establish your priorities and strike a balance between them and other people's requests. As a result, learning to say "no" from time to time is a healthy life skill to cultivate.

Concentrating on the negative.

What we read, watch, and listen to, as well as who we associate with, has a significant impact on how we feel and think. If you allow negativity to drag you down, it becomes much more difficult to be happy.

Do not allow yourself to be distracted from your goals by focusing on the negative parts of whatever scenario you are in.

Do not allow yourself to be distracted from your goals by focusing on the negative parts of whatever scenario you are in.

Wherever you desire to go, your thoughts will take you. Negative thinking will never lead to a brighter future!

In this world, there is just too much negativity. Make every effort to avoid adding to the problem.

Blaming other people

Blame and excuses are a convenient method to avoid taking responsibility for your actions or to hide your flaws.

Making excuses and pointing the finger at others will keep you in a position where no one can trust you. You won't be able to move on unless you stop blaming and start being constructively critical of yourself.

Putting the blame on others will not assist anyone. What has been done is done, and accepting responsibility is the first step toward rectifying the situation.

So, get rid of these bad behaviors from your life, and you'll notice a difference.
