Life is a two edged sword.
Many people live it like it is paradise while many lived it like it is hell.
In reality not everyone that is poor is destined to be poor many are the cause of their own nemesis.
Many are born to rule but due to their negligence and insensitivity, they are being ruled upon.
Take for instance the story of a two young men Bassey and James, who graduated with a third class and first-class honor respectively. Bassey went into business immediately after his service year. While James kept looking for job in one of the biggest companies in the country. He bragged about his certificate and would reject companies with lower pay.
Bassey began to employ people to help his business grow while James continued striving to get a better job.
As days turn into weeks, weeks into months and months into years, James accepted to work for a company after all his effort to get a job with higher salary scale proved abortive. Bassey had made enough money to invest. He invested in different companies and unknowingly, he invested in the same company his friend was working. His business grew more and more and he became an investor without a company. James was very hardworking and became a manager.
He was made the head of every business team just as the saying that "the reward for hard work is more work".
One faithful Friday, James' Boss, Mr Collins bought a new car and brought it to his company. All the workers assembled to celebrate his success. James moved forward to congratulate him as he is the manager of the company. "Congratulations sir!" He said. "Oh.. Mr James, You see, If you do your work more diligently, I will buy more" Mr Collins said. They both laughed as he escort Collins to his office.
It was the end of the month and the company was to hold a conference which all shareholders were to attend.
Everyone was seated at exactly 9:00 am as scheduled but for one of the shareholders. Someone brought an idea that they should continue with the meeting perhaps pending the last man's arrival.
James switched on his laptop to take attendance and noticed that, they were waiting for the man with the highest share. He announced to the other members seated and they all agreed to wait for him.
At exactly 9:30 am there was a knock on the door and a tall, dark skined man on suit came in.
" Good morning, I am investor Bessey from Bassey Global Limited. I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. My car broke down" he said. The manager raised his head to see the man who was delaying the meeting, he turned out to be his friend.
Bassey! He exclaimed in excitement and shook his hand. They sat to continue the meeting and throughout the meeting James wasn't comfortable till the end.
When James got home that night, he couldn't sleep. He continued to wonder how Bassey had made it that big.
He said to himself, "Bassey was one of the dullest in my class, so how come ??" At that point, he remembered what his Boss once said that "If he is to do his work more diligently, he will buy more of his cars"
He broke in tears and went perplexed.
They both had their destiny in their hands and they decided to write what they wanted.
In reality, there are many people who were supposed to be on the windshield but because of insensitivity, pride and negligence, they became elements of the rare view far behind where they should be.
James was for the windshield but Bassey refused the rare view.
