There are a lot of great side hustles that are known to produce tons of dollars. But come to think of it, there is one that stands out among the rest and I can almost call it the perfect side hustle and I know you may be thinking "what the hell am I talking about"
Well this perfect side hustle of mine is called dropshipping. Dropshipping is an ecommerce business where I don't stock inventory of my products and I only automate order purchases to my supplier who does the needy of delivering goods ordered to the buyer. The most interesting part of this business is that I don't have to pay for the products unless there is a purchase. There is a lot more to it than just the definition, but don't worry, the strategies and tactics to make you your first $1000 and then scaling from there will be broken down on simplified details. E-commerce is on a whole different level and statistics has shown that by 2040, nearly 85% of goods will be sold online. This shows that there is a lot of potential in this business. There are a lot of strategies to make your first sales which includes facebook ads, Google ads, instagram influencers, tiktok ads and so on... All of this, ofcourse, require a start up capital but the one which I personally use is tiktok which I do organically(free marketing)
All this are methods to start with but if you are just getting started, i will recommend to stay away from paid advertising.. this business platform will be carried out on shopify and during the course of your 2 weeks free trial which they offer you should be able to make sales and pay up for the cost with the guidelines I will be stating now.
Firstly, you will need to find a supplier for the product you want to sell and there are two ways to locate a supplier and it can be going to aliexpress or through a private agent.
But if you are just getting started, aliexpress will be the recommended choice. What I do Is to go over to aliexpress and message them " hey, my name is (. ) Am the head of (the name of the business) I am an experienced dropshipper. I do multiple orders per day and I will like to partner up with you" with this messaged, they should be able to get back in touch with you.
Ofcourse, what is the purpose of a business if you don't have anything to sell. Pls note that you don't have to manufacture your own product and you can go look for a product that is trending in the market and profit off it. Well, what I mostly do for product research is kind of like the way you locate a supplier by messaging them " what is moving in the market and selling" suppliers should be able to give you this information if they find you easy to work with.
Another way is to go over to tiktok or facebook and input the words "tiktok made me buy it" or " amazon finds" tons of videos will pop up and just go through the videos and see the one that catches your eye" make sure that when looking out for this products, it has a wow factor, a sustainable product and also season less.
By now, you already have a product, the next thing is to go create a website and a domain to build your store. Now, you have watched the video and know how to build a store with high conversion rates and clean product descriptions . You are ready to sell but making sales will require awareness that you are selling something. What I recommend is to first order the product and make sample videos at home and upload the result on tiktok since it is the one I recommended. Incase you don't know how to do this, you can just look at some of your competitors ads on facebook or aliexpress and make some adjustments of your own. Create a business page of your product and leave the business link that will take them to your product page. Ofcourse, you are doing this organically. The reason behind this is to see if you have a winning product and additionally to have higher profit margins.
This is a profitable side hustle nonetheless no matter which method you use.
The first time I did this, I made $3k with 80% profit margin. As I begun to make more, then I knew this wasn't just a side hustle and it transitioned into a business for me. You also need a mindset and the reason am saying all this is to drive you through some basic challenges during this business period but nothing to worry about as long as you have a business mindset, I will be as transparent as I can with you.
