Hope isn’t about wishful thinking, nor is it about wanting your team to win, your ship to come in or getting the right girl or guy. 

It isn’t, either, about putting ultimate hope, faith and trust in any one of the frail human instruments we might think is the answer to all problems, and it isn’t about counting on fame, success, fortune or losing that last ten pounds to be The Answer to whatever is causing you to feel despair and its twin, hopelessness.
