"Bring home your BCH" campaign, have you joined yet

There has been a long-running campaign among the Bitcoin cash community that most of us are unaware of. The campaign's slogan is "Bring them Home," which means that all BCH users who have BCH in exchanges should withdraw it to their private wallets. When I first read the campaign post on Reddit, I assumed it was about "NOT YOUR KEY, NOT YOUR MONEY." Then I read an article by Pantera on the matter and wondered what impact it would have on BCH's value if they were withdrawn from all exchanges. I decided to make some research about it earlier today and got a clear understanding of the subject, and I believe it is something that everyone should think about.

You might be asking why such a campaign, so I'll explain what I know about it and how it and how it all began. The "Bring home your BCH" campaign was triggered by the behavior of several exchanges suspending Bitcoin Cash withdrawal on their platforms while mining BCH aggressively within that time of suspending withdrawal before re-enabling BCH withdrawals again. These activities, together with the price behavior of Bitcoin Cash, increased the possibility that these exchanges were naked shorting Bitcoin Cash. Binance platform was a chief culprit on the matter.

These activities, together with the stagnated price of BCH, raised suspicions that these exchanges were engaging in a naked shorting sale of BCH. What this means is that they were selling BCH that they do not have. They were selling just figures to buyers without having any BCH on their platform. This was possible because they are centralized exchanges, what they do is to update their database to show that you have BCH in your account, and users will not know about it except they withdraw them into their own (users) wallet. This means they were giving users fake BCH account balances.

To prevent users from knowing about the manipulation they, therefore, have to suspend or stop withdrawals of BCH to personal wallets while they used the time mining BCH aggressively to have enough BCH before allowing withdrawal again.

Although all these were only assumptions, it raised the awareness to look into the behaviors of these centralized exchanges towards BCH. There cannot be a reason not to suspect these exchanges in engaging in naked short selling of BCH as a deliberate action to suppress the price of BCH when multiple exchanges stop withdrawals specifically for BCH almost the same time, and Binance then started mining BCH aggressively before resuming withdrawals of BCH again coupled with the price movement of BCH from constant selling in an unlimited manner.

It was theoretically right then for everyone to withdraw their BCH from these exchanges. Consequently, this will force the exchanges to buy BCH at any price to cover the withdrawals. It also meant that the exchanges who buy the BCH early, to cover their positions would benefit more than the exchanges who are forced to buy them at a higher price later, to cover their positions. If you not selling your BCH, there is no need to leave them on an exchange. There is nothing to lose if everyone withdraws their BCH because it is much secure to have the coins in your own wallet. if indeed exchanges or someone had been engaging in naked short selling, then the price of BCH can go up when they are being forced to cover the user's withdrawals of Bitcoin Cash by buying from other exchanges instead of suspending withdrawals to use the time to mine BCH to cover up.

At the same time, the trading volume of BCH will be very high when they start buying and selling Bitcoin Cash as it should be, and that was the target of this campaign. The more we all bring our BCH home, the more difficult it will be for anyone to engage in naked shorting of BCH because they would be forced to buy from other exchanges in the market to cover up the sales. It also means that there is going to be a massive price increase in the price of BCH, and that will be something that everyone should have been looking out for.

I joined this campaign for the above reason, to help establish a sound financial ecosystem in the crypto-currency world, where everyone can actually own their coins or tokens and they are not the side bets to anyone but the person himself.

It is practically right that every BCH supporter should join this campaign by bringing your BCH home so as to stop the shady behaviors of these exchanges that were engaged in naked short selling to suppress the price of BCH. It is possible that they already believe that they are not doing anything wrong.

In order to curb these market manipulators and be confident with the prices of BCH, we should all bring our BCH home and stay with them. Even though it is not mandatory, it is expected of you to do that for the survival of the BCH. A massive amount of demand for BCH would be in the market, therefore, it would be much more likely that the exchanges or someone would be forced to buy at any price to cover their tracks. This will lead to a massive increase in the price of BCH as it is currently and everyone should be involved in the "Bring home your BCH" campaign.

Bottom line

The goal of this campaign is to put a halt to the unethical practices of the exchanges towards BCH. We will not be engaging in any conspiracies to subvert the system, but we will engage in activities that will force the exchanges and individuals who were engaged in naked short selling of BCH in the market, to buy more, so as to cover the short position and the movement of BCH in the market, and this should increase the demand of BCH, therefore it will be profitable for everyone to get involved.
