Miss Universe Colombia is a national contest in Colombia. This contest was only held in 2020, because Miss Universe org has released the Senorita Colombia license. Even though Senorita Colombia has awarded a title to one of their contestants, Miss Universe org has been staring to release her license and change new holders.
The contest ends at around 23:00 Colombian time (16 November 2020) or today (17 November 2020). Miss Universe Colombia org also crowns their first Queen, of the Bolivar region. The crown was also handed over directly from Natalie Ackermann as the National Director of Miss Universe Colombia org to Miss Bolivar named Laura Olascuaga.
Laura herself beat 29 other participants, she even set aside a mega favorite named Juliana Franco (Miss Meta). Juliana herself only received a title from a sponsor, namely LUVONE Miss Bioseguridad 2020.
And leaving Laura Lamus (Miss Santander) as the first Runner Up and Yenifer Pulgarin Candelo (Miss Norte De Santander) as the second Runner Up. The 25 year old girl who works as a Journalist and Social Communicator also gets another title from sponsorship. She received the title Miss Elegancia Mariano from the village signer Mariano.
In addition, she is entitled to a prize of 15 million in cash, a Bulova watch, a Jaguar car, accessories in the form of jewelry from Vizcarra, the title of Miss Universe Colombia 2020 (as long as it does not violate the contract) and a crown titled "Colombia Udia" during her tenure.
The event, which was limited to visitors, was held at the Hotel El Prado, Colombia. Also attended by Catriona Gray (Miss Universe 2018, who was invited to be a judge.
