Destroyed hamburger and vegetables that take after a stack of bright clothes – that is Ropa Vieja. From the Spanish expression for "old garments", this is one of Cuba's generally famous and adored dishes. So well known in certainty that it's one of the nation's assigned public dishes.

This dish goes back to the Middle Ages of Spanish Sephardi, a free transformation of a dish that remaining parts well known in southern and focal Spain. Customarily it was an approach to extend the extras of stews, for example, puchero or cocida, the two of which are garbanzo-based dishes just like the first Spanish rendition of Ropa Vieja.
