Tom Hemingway is a fat, sexy and intuitive swordsman from the hood. His life is going nowhere until he meets Ruth Sparkle, a fat, bald woman with a passion for kite flying.

Tom takes an instant disliking to Ruth and the clumsy and cowardly ways she learnt during her years in England.
