Stars don't shine for poor, they only shine for the elites.
While walking around the street earlier, I saw a kid happily playing with his doll. He is very happy until one little girl snatched the doll and said, "Hey, why did you snatched my doll? It is mine! And it is not for boys!" The little boy ran away and gave the doll to the little girl.
I continue walking and put my trash in the trash bin, suddenly I saw a doll that is exactly the same doll the little boy was holding. I put it in my bag and try to find the little boy. Suddenly, I heard a little girl crying and found out that she is the one who get the doll from the little boy. Her mom scolding her and asking her why she still playing with the doll that she already put in the trash bin
Later on, I saw that the mom put the doll in the trash bin. I ran onto it and get it, then put it to my bag and I continue to walk alone to find the little boy.
On the other side of the street, I heard again a mom scolding her child. And this time, it is the little boy crying in pain. "Why did you let the kid stole your doll! It cost too much, and it is still our credit to our neighborhood!", the mom of the little boy said in anger and dismay.
I ran towards them, "Hey, kid! I found out your doll! I know that this is very important to you.", I said in excitement and teary - eyed. "And I have a surprise! Your doll will have a new playmate. Come here and take it!"
I saw the transition of his lips from being sad to being happy. He don't know what to do but he kept on jumping. He said, "Let me give you this star I got when I answered a question in school."
By that, I realized how privilege I am. How the turn of events favor the rich and elites and privileged. A poor little boy who has nothing, gave me fulfilment that will always be remembered. If this people like me don't work for humanity, then don't expect that there would have an equality. People will always choose money over life and that is a sad truth in this world.
