Today I would like to discuss with you some of the importance of self-employment as an alternative to a job. 

First of all, what is "self-employment"? Simply put, self-employment is self-employment.

 It can be said a little more clearly that if a person arranges employment on his own initiative without relying on others to earn a living, it is called self-employment. 

The rate of population growth in today's world is extremely disappointing. Employment opportunities are not increasing at the rate at which the population is growing. Therefore, the growing population is having an adverse effect on the economies of different countries. Specially in a developing country like Bangladesh, this rate is very alarming. Therefore, the importance and necessity of self-employment in the context of the current unemployment problem in different countries of the world is undeniable. 

Reasons why self-employment is important: 

* As the population of a country increases, so does the number of working people. But employment opportunities are not being created at the rate at which the demand for employment is increasing. As a result, the number of unemployed youth is increasing. And as a result of self-employment, unemployed youth can earn a living. 

* Overall economic development depends on the utilization of the country's manpower. It has to be utilized by providing training to the manpower interested in self-employment.

 * Self-employment makes people interested in saving. People are encouraged to implement many big projects by accumulating small savings. This increases financial solvency. 

* Self-employment opportunities can be created in a short range and at home, so the amount of extra expenses is reduced. 

In many ways we can build this self-employment. Such as: business ventures, micro-loans, By setting up cottage industries and small scale industries, raising cattle, setting up poultry farms, receiving public and private training in various subjects, etc. 

Moreover, through this self-employment, it is possible to earn a living on the one hand, as well as poverty alleviation, utilization of youth, elimination of unemployment, creation of moral values, industrial development, national economic development, prevention of urbanization of rural people, etc. 

Finally, from the above discussion, it can be said without any doubt that the importance of self-employment as an alternative to employment is sufficient.
