The Philippines, an archepelago in the Pacific Ocean, a country in line with the ring of fire, a country in South East Asia has been hit by typhoon after typhoon, the latest is typhoon ullyses, the twenty-first thus far has caused hundreds of millions worth of destruction. Farm crops, villages and many more were hit hard, besides worries about covid, families have no choice but to brave the storm in shelters without their masks. Village leaders and mayors are doing what they can to help the poor families caught up in this. Four more typhoons are expected before the year ends and now how will the people cope with the unrelenting power and destruction they facing? Actions from the government are fast since this new government was formed. Updated news are the norm and relief good are distributed on time, not rotting in some storage warehouse awaiting pending approval from distribution.
The country is strategically on the path of major typhoons that would unleash its full force once it hit lands, and when it passes, its full force have been cut by half once it reached neighboring countries. Blocking typhoons before reaching other countries sounds more like a buffer to me.
