What do you call a Turkish baby? Answer: Kebab-y :D All jokes aside,
Swiss food-tech startup Planted develops one of the world’s first vegan kebab skewers
.
They are food scientists and they love tech. So now the reinvention of the kebab depends on them. How did they do that? It all starts with the fibre. Not only animals have what it takes to make fibres from plant proteins - we can do it too. Only much more efficiently. Just skip the animal.
The imitation of different animal textures should make it possible to banish the animal from the plate without having to give up beloved dishes. In addition to water, a little oil, a healthy portion of vitamin B12, and spices, planted. products consist mainly of plant proteins and plant fibres.
New in the family, planted.kebab will blow your mind. It tastes like juicy doner meat - whether rolled as Dürüm or filled in doner bread - the kebab pleasure is guaranteed. It is made of Swiss water, pea protein 23%, rapeseed oil, pea fibre, salt, spice mixture (contains celery). Kebab delight as we know and love it, just without animal suffering and good for the environment. Most of us love the taste of meat, yes. But we all love our environment a little bit more.
One juicy bite. Makes the world right.
