💎Chapter 1💍
**********************
My wedding night.
A night I've always dreamt of, a night I couldn't stop thinking about.
Getting married to the love of my youth, my first love.
My wedding, a day I couldn't just wait for.
The first night with my love....
And as we danced together at our wedding reception, I couldn't help but get anxious.
Like it's finally our wedding day but I couldn't just help this nervous feeling at my guts.....
And cutting our cake, my husband was asked to feed... you need to see me, I was so shy.....

My name is Hannah Makinde, now proudly Mrs Adewale Martins!
I knew Martin's right from teenage and I have always loved him, even when he didn't.
And when he also fell for me, and asked me out and.... and proposed, I was the happiest woman on earth and I still am.
Till this moment, I never knew a man. I never dated anyone aside Martins. And now I'm 22 years old.
Yes, I'm getting married that early, I'm a graduate so what am I waiting for.
Funny enough, my husband now... is twelve years older than I am. What made me fall for him even when I was so young, I don't understand.
In the car, we were being driven to our hotel where we'll spend tonight before traveling to Paris tomorrow for our honeymoon, an idea I actually came up with, with an excuse that we will be tired and need rest....
I actually brought that up because I can't just wait to have Martin's, I can't just wait to feel him!
We were almost getting to our hotel and my heart wouldn't stop racing. Throughout the ride, his hands were all over me.... I was perplexed, because all my fantasies, everything I've planned to do on my head with him were gone.
You wouldn't blame me.... it's going to be my first time!
Stepping out if our car, Martin's swept me off the ground, carrying me in a bridal style as we went inside.
I nearly died of shyness, as I couldn't count the number of eyes on us. Phones and cameras taking pictures and videos
Adewale Martins is the son of our local government chairman.
Who doesn't know Martins, the owner of Martins software institute, an importer and exporter, an actor, a.....
Yes! My husband is that big and popular.

We were in our room in no time and Martins didn't waste time in dropping me on the bed and suffocating me with kisses.
I know it's something he has always wanted to do with me, and there's this anthem I always recite, "just wait patiently for our wedding night and I'll be all yours".
And so it is now but....
I held his hand and pulled out from the kiss, suddenly feeling his whole weight on me.
He looked down out me with a frown.
"Babe....."
"Is there a problem?"
I heaved a sigh trying to calm down... 'what the hell is wrong with me?'
"I understand you're nervous, just close you eyes" he said soothingly.
His hand went to my zippers and I held his hand shaking my head,
"please switch off the lights first" I said timidly.
He chuckled. "Babe come on...."
I sighed again.
"Let... Let's use the birth..room" I shuttered.
He smiled and before I could say another word, I was in his arms and he walked towards the birthroom.
But suddenly we began hearing sounds... or vioces. It wasn't our business not until it turned to chaos.
Martins dropped me to my feet and just then our room door bursted open to reveal seven men on black, their face covered and their guns pointing at every angle.
I screamed loudly and so did my husband. I fell to the floor shivering like leaf. I heard my husband shout and when I peeped up trembling, I saw he was being tied to a chair, and his mouth gagged.
My heart beat spead like the speed of light I feared I would die.
I crawled backwards when I saw three men match towards me.
The got to me and I screamed loudly as one pulled my hair roughly.
I was thrown to the bed and my husband was made to face me, still tied to the chair.
I could see the pain in his eyes as he watched them rip my clothes apart.
I just layed their helpless, they had locked the door but shouldn't they have alerted the police already? Where are the securities??
I didn't just want to believe what they were about to do to me, my tears didn't seize.
And just like a nightmare, my husband watched them rape me, he watched them take away what is his....
What I kept for him for years.
The seven took turns in raping me.

I woke up to find myself on a hospital bed.
I turned to my side to see my mum sitting down and staring at me.
'what am I doing here?' I wondered.

My mum held my hand.
"How are you feeling now? I should call the doctor"
She got up but I called her.
"Mum...."
"What am I doing here?" I asked confused.
She blinked, "you don't remember anything that happened to you?"
I tried getting up but the striking pain I felt in-between my legs brought back by senses. I gasped and my eyes got teary. I looked around for my husband but didn't see him.
I was doing a good job fighting back my tears.
'how can my wedding night turn out to be a night mare?'
I looked at the clock hung on the wall facing me and the time said 7 a.... pm.
I looked outside the window and it was dark.... 7pm then. I remember we got to our room before 6, 'why did this happen to me?😭'
"Where is my husband?" I asked my mum.
She didn't say anything, she just looked away.
'huh? What the hell is happening?'
Shouldn't he be here, beside me and....
The door opened and he walked in, his face expressionless.
He got to my front and stared down at me.
"Since all these months have been asking for this damn thing, but no! you were keeping it for criminals" he yelled.
My tears poured.
"But it's not my fault" I cried.
He raised his brows.
"It's not your fault you say"
"Martins!" My mum shouted and got up.
This time my tears where flowing like Niger river, 'Martins shouldn't say this to me...'
I felt hurt.

"Now is not the time to say this..." Her voice was low.
He ignored, dipped his hand in his pocket and brought out a sheet of paper.
"Tell Hannah to explain this"
He pushed the paper to my hand.
With trembling hands I held the paper. I looked at it and my eyes widened 'oh no!'
I looked up and he smirked.
"one of the men who raped you asked me to give you this before they were taken away by the police, so what's the meaning? I need an explanation.... tell me what you did five years ago!"
I lost my tongue instead.
My mum snatched the paper from me and looked at it. She gasped and looked up at me.
Tears trickled down my face.
"Hannah....." She called.
She dropped the paper back in front of me.
"Danielle" she whispered.
"Cat got your tongue!" That was Martins.
I bursted into tears.
"So we shouldn't press charges right?" He asked, pain in his eyes.
"Hannah what did you do to Danielle?" My mum asked camly.
I shook my head and looked up at my husband, who isn't looking like one anymore.
" Le...let's not... press charges" I shuttered.
He chuckled bitterly, gave me one last look and stormed out.
I picked the paper and reread what was written there.
📝 'you remember what you did to your best friend five years ago? Don't even wonder how I got to know your were the one.... I have full evidences and videos, so don't try to press charges.
What just happened to you is what they call, THE RETURN MATCH.
From Danielle, your best friend and chief bridesmaid'
Tears blinded my eyes as I looked up at mum who was looking at me curiously.
"Hannah.... talk to me" she held my hand.
I looked away.
'how did Danielle know I was responsible for what happened to her 5 years ago?'
She shouldn't have done this on my wedding day.
I'm finished.....
