From the time when people use to travel miles to reach their destination to the time when people have modern cars available to travel anywhere without getting tired in an hour. However, the time has changed pretty much and the technologies have become advanced and innovative.
Moreover, few decades back we were having our houses made of bricks but now the houses are made up of woods. I believe people of the last century couldn't have imagined traveling to other planets but the people of this century made it real through a rocket. Astronauts can travel to other planets with there jets for research and discovery.
Furthermore, people of an old century haven't thought about the internet speed which is controlling the satellites nowadays. Means of transport was not so innovative in past centuries but with the help of new technologies, things are different now. We can buy any sports or hybrid cars one could even imagine in the past century.
Technologies have become so innovative, I still remember the personal computer I was having in 90' which needed pretty much space to the time I have laptop operating with my fingers on my lap with so little space. Chips which were as huge as rooms in past decades to now which are in the size of inch.
In Conclusion, this century has brought so much feasibility and innovative technologies that one could ever dream of in the past few decades. And I could imagine the future which would be very different and innovative that we can't even think about it.
Of course, technology is the order of the day. "A man that lags behind technology is dead-living".
