Have you experienced being so frustrated for not hitting your goals at the right time you painted on your mind?
All of us have a set of goals when it comes to our career matters. Right after we graduated we expect that we will achieve our goals and dreams. During our studies, we did our best and thinking that after we graduated and have some high marks we will be successful right after we finished our degree.
Without us knowing that after we graduate, we will now enter the real world and how it works. That getting a job is not that easy, you have to compete with a lot of applicants and you have to showcase your skills for you to become qualified for the position. Some people who graduated from being the Magna Cumlaude, Summa Cumlaude, or Cumlaude are having a hard time getting the job. During schooling, we thought that getting good grades will be the stepping stone of becoming successful in our chosen endeavors. Having good grades is a plus but cannot guarantee you to be successful because in these real-world skills and strategies are more in demand if you lack those potentials, you will probably at the bottom among those applicants. And you, being frustrated with many declines in your applications.
Most parents educate their child that having a degree will give you a good fortune or a ticket for success (Especially in our Country), yes it is but mostly top successful people in the world are engaged in businesses.
I personally experience this one it took me a year to apply to a position that I qualify. Before I get the job, I tried several jobs like a sales lady or a cashier to a small store just to have experienced because here in our country, the experience is a plus. Employers will hire those who have experience than those fresh graduates and it so annoying because how can applicants have experience if nobody will hire them?. So by that you have to be humble and accept little jobs so you will gain experience, never mind your degree.
My husband also experienced this one, it took him 3 years to be regularly employed with a salary. Even if he passed his exam for ranking officials, it still took a lot of time. We were frustrated at that time and given up or accepted that it is not his lucky job that it is not for him. He even tried to apply for police and firemen to change his career perspective but out of the blue before the pandemic spread he was able to fly and got onboard.
So, therefore, everything has timing. We just have to be courageous and never lose hope in what we long to have because success takes time. Your perfect timing will come, it is true that "Building a castle takes time than building an ordinary building".
