Story of Sarah
Sarah is a Nigerian girl, who was denied the access of going to school, sarah came from a tribe where girls are been denied of going to school in other to pursue their vision or career but the boys were allowed to go to school.
This tradition has been old for some years until just recently some tribe in Nigeria started to abolished it, they are some many other tradition which only affects the girl child, and it not supposed to be so, every child is equal, no need for gender discrimination.
Sarah came from a family of three, she was the eldest, her family was made up of her father, mother, her and her two younger brothers.
Sarah parents were not rich but they were fairly comfortable, but however sarah was not happy, because everyday she watched her younger siblings going to school while she stay at home, she helped them in packing their bags and lunch while they set for school.
One day she went to meet her parents and told them that she was not happy, she ask her parents why she has been denied the opportunity of going to school because of her gender while her siblings is going to school, so her mother told her that was the tradition that she can't change it, that even she was denied the chance of going to school in her youthful age, so Sarah father reply her question and said "what will a girl do with education when she will end up in the kitchen" he also added; looked at your mother is she educated, isn't she happy, they is no need to waste money. So sarah decide not to disturb her parents again, but she vow that how children won't suffer the same fate with her.
Sarah was taught to be polite, patient, and also taught to take every insult with a smile, she was taught how to become a full house wife. So when sarah was 18 years she was given way in marriage, Sarah married a educated man, who took care of her, and also loved her.
Sarah brother went to school and letter become somebody in future, one was a lecturer while the other one was a medical doctor, so after many years gone by sarah gave birth to 3 children 2 girls which were twins 1 boy, and she was able to correct the mistake her parents made, so she register all her children in school, she was happy.
The twins are in secondary school while the last born is in primary school, they all have equal opportunity to be the very best they can be in life.
