Due to the ongoing highway road cutting, the internal portions of the earth stand exposed to the eyes of one and all.
Now, one can have a clear view of the earth crust and it's different layers of both the rocks & the soil, with uniform thickness, running almost parallel to each other, exhibiting different colour, texture & shades.
According to the geologists, the formation of each layer as seen in the picture, takes several millions of years together. And, according to the archaeologists, the humus and the vegetations of earth including the dead bodies of birds, animals & men, lay buried under the overlapping layers of soil & rocks. Some of them even form into fossils later.
It's obvious that after millions of years from now, our existence on the surface of the earth will inevitably come to an extinction and, become a history like that of the dinosaurs, a kind of huge reptiles, believed to have existed on earth during the Triassic, Jurassic and the Cretacious periods some million years ago. Likewise, the indelible imprints left behind by us in the form of human fossils, would also provide the future archaeologists, some meagre evidences of our existence on mother earth.
