How to create strategies that help people over 50 to remain productive in the workplace?

Hello dear friends of read.cash, I hope you are enjoying a wonderful day.

In the last year, the technological transformations that have been taking place in recent times have accelerated in a dizzying way, I don't know if you think so too.

Undoubtedly, the situation of confinement we have lived through and the obligatory social distancing have forced us to become more frequent users of the Internet and its social networks, ecommerce, teleworking and many other forms of exchanges of different kinds with people anywhere in the world.

What we are living through was unimaginable in our grandparents' generation and even for some of our parents. Circumstances like the present and our way of life have distanced us for example from our neighbors who are only a few meters away from us; and yet, they have brought us closer in such an intimate way to other people located thousands of miles away from us, with great differences in timetables, languages and cultures. Sometimes I think it's hard for some of us to understand that our neighborhood is now the entire planet.

This frenetic pace of change never ceases to worry me and I understand that this is a logical consequence of the uncertainty in which we live.

Our world bears little resemblance to yesterday. Newspapers and books in their physical format are tending to disappear. Money management is becoming more and more virtual, cryptocurrencies have broken down every possible barrier to commercial transactions. The consequences of COVID 19 have prompted new forms of remote labor relations, and so we could list a wide range of situations, with their pros and cons.

Now I understand more and more what we studied in high school about Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution. The challenge is to make ourselves better able to cope with the demands of all these changes.

I would like to know from your comments what you think this process of developing personal strengths to adapt to change should look like.

I believe that depending on where you live, factors such as age, gender, language skills, access to information technology, among others, will have an impact on the success you can achieve.

For example, living in an emerging country, I observe that people over 50 years of age have fewer and fewer opportunities to enter the labor market, which is not fair because they still have many things to contribute to society.

For this group of people it would be excellent to be able to take advantage of the opportunities that exist thanks to the impact of new information technologies.

I would like you to share your opinions on this issue, since the realities in the places where you live may be different and that would certainly enrich the vision on possible solutions.

Thank you and we are connecting.
