Read Cash family receive a warm greeting,

It may be unimaginable to many of us that until just over 100 years ago it was impossible for many workers to enjoy a delicious lunch in their homes on a Sunday. Not only because of the difficult economic conditions in which they lived, but also because of the strenuous workdays that were part of everyday life.

It has been 136 years since the great workers' strike in Chicago in 1886. Pioneering movement in which the first steps were taken for a working day with a more adequate duration, even though it ended with thousands of injured and fired workers.

Those were days in which workers worked between 12 and 18 hours, in an industrial context of large factories and poor safety conditions in the work environment. This evolution of the labor movement in the United States was the turning point for a later balance between working hours, rest and leisure.

Thanks to these pioneers, today we can enjoy a day of rest on weekends in our homes.

Postmodernity and the new forms of work that underlie it, such as remote work from home, bring new challenges. In this order of ideas, some countries have created regulations in this regard, let us pay attention to the consequences of these new realities.
