Last 6 years when my son was confined and diagnosed with moderate pneumonia, its hard for the parents seeing them in that situation. We stayed in the hospital for 4days. After several check up was done and his doctor says that he is ok, no more explanation.
Suddenly, after 1 month he has the same situation but from moderate to severe, he had different doctor because she is the accredited doctor for the healthcare insurance i am paying for. The doctor says " its too severe if we cant get this using medicine, will put tube/hose in his mouth to help him breath well", because at this moment he had difficulty in breathing. After 6hrs the dr.came back and saying thanks god he is doing well, he and observe again after 8hrs to finally say that he not needing tube.
The dr. Came back in the morning, and saying mommy she's doing good. No need to put tube in his mouth. My eyes is so teary and i tell to her thank you doc for doing your best. We again stay for 5 days in the hospital. Before discharging, the dr. Says many do' and don't to prohibit pneumonia. Many many don'ts, like eating seafood, egg, fish except for milkfish, no smoking in the family, smoke from the fire, smelly environment from the poultry, pig and also cologne,powder,perfume.
We do follow all, attended check ups , have different vaccines, taking vitamins, medicine like montemax and primary complex for 6months that extended to 1 yr and 2 months because may son always getting cough or called asthma in end. Almost weekly we go to the clinic, and it so it hurt my pocket . Almost my husband and my salaries going there.
Then we decided to change the dr. And find pulmonologist. And the dr. Said he have an asthma! Ok take this inhaler 3 times a day so day, noon and night, thsn next month you come back again so ican say if i will deduct the dosage for him.
And then,my mom and my child came back after after a month, he reduced the inhaler from 2pumps to 1pump and just 2 times a day. NO FOOD FOR DONTS , because he need nutrients from them. Then he said again to come back after a month.
From 2times a day, it was taken once but can be doubled if u see theres a diffuculty in breathing. This will be his maintenance.
No cough or difficulty in his breath happened during taking of inhaler from dr of pulmonologist.
Im so happy to say that, but after 1 year and 6 mos we decided to remove the inhaler, but he attack again after a month we remove it, he got confinement again. When we go out to the hospital we decided to back his inhaler once a day and i see from the drugstore IMMUNOMAX vitamins, i buy it for my son, and now I proudly says his not having asthma for 2years. The vitamins is slightly pricey than the other but it helps so much.
Asthma can be prevent, by taking vitamins and healthy foods and clean environment.
