The largest wax butterfly can hear high-pitched sounds better than any known creature in the world. However, their ears have a very simple structure, each about the size of a pinhead.

Think about it: Listening to wax butterfly has been a topic of study for years. More recently, scientists tested the butterfly's hearing with a wide range of sounds. They measured the vibrations of these tympanic membranes and recorded the activity of their auditory nerves. The eardrums always reacted when exposed to sounds at a frequency of 300 kilohertz. comparing such amazing creature' echolocation to animals like,a bat which has an echolocation recorded up to 212 kilohertz, dolphins have ecolocations up to 160 kilohertz, and humans can not more than 20 kilohertz.

Did you know:Research scientists would like to use the superior hearing capacity of the large wax butterfly as the basis for the new technology to help make smaller, better microphones,. They can be connected to a wide variety of devices, such as smartphone and other hearing electronic aids.

What do you think, could such a great insect come about by chance?
