If You Are Over 25 yo, You Probably Have Been Through This

Have you ever noticed that sometimes there are some pattern in human development. Once you are a kid, you see the world as a playground, then it becomes your enemy when you reach adolescence, then finally you start working and suddenly it looks like a world of opportunities, until you finally become 25.

At age 25 things stop making sense, you realize that adulthood is just a word and nobody actually knows how to be an adult. You realize that even your parents haven't understood life so far. And we are all lost pretending we know where to get. At this point is really comum a person feel anxiety because he/she is getting closer to his/her 30's. And by that time, they are supposed to have a good job, a house, a car, and financial freedom. Things you probably dreamed of having by then when you were only 16. The pressure of self-charge is devastating.

Not to mention some decisions we have taken before this age. Normally there are people who had already gotten married before 25, and then start regretting for not having enjoyed life more. Or quit a bad job for a new opportunity, trip or an adventure. After 25 everything looks harder, because normally, the oldest generation had something by then, a house, a car and we're building a family.

So, how to deal with it? Some people will struggle and get stuck in this phase for year. And as close they get of their 30's, it gets more intense. Well there is no simple solution. If you have found good mentorship and education, there is a change of you being very successful earlier, and you didn't or won't feel it. On the other hand, if you came from a simple family, few friends and average school,.you probably belong to this group, and it's ok to be there, it's not ok to stay there.

In order to free yourself from this phase, the first step is to stop comparing yourself to the world, only compare yourself to you from the past. Realize the things you have learned so far, and the things you have reached, even if they are not big for the world, success is only what matters to you. Keep in mind that you are only 25... Or 30... Or 40... There are people fulfilling their dreams by 70. It's never too late. Just move! You still have years... 365 days every year, many opportunities. And if we don't stop focusing on the problem we will have no strength to move on, to go after what matters.

I know, it's easier said than done. But take it from me, I've been there, and done that. I had to start from a scratch and rewrite my story, it was a really rough process. And sometimes, all that you need is start something new, challenge yourself to do new thing and get new habits. The most difficulties are in our mind. And even though it doesn't seem easy, remember. You are the only one who can actually help yourself. The others may open the door, but you are the one who is gonna pass through it.
