Home isn't the lonely house,

You go back to every day,

Not arguments in pain, broken promises,

Home isn't supposed to be bitter.

Home isn't the lonely mind,

That says you're not worth it,

You're so much more,

Even if your heart is full of splinters.

Home isn't the cold you feel,

It's not the hurt, not the tears,

You are so much stronger than you believe,

You have seen too many winters.

Home is the sweet to your soul,

It's warm hugs and shared drinks,

That hearty laugh, that joke you made,

Your friends' eyes full of wonders.

This person in front of me,

Deserve all the memories we share,

Beautiful despite the pain,

Done enough, will do more.
