I Want My Child To Have FQ: Financial Intelligence Quotient

One of the things that I wanted to teach my future children is not to become too smart, competitive in the field of schools, or focused on extra-curriculums and stuff. I wanted them to be what they are and what hobby they will love, but there was this something that I wanted them to have from me, and that is the FQ or Financial Intelligence Quotient. Where they could enjoy the things, they love the most but know the finances behind them, how this hobby will help them financially or even how this will make them more aware of what will happen in the money system of flows. I am not a graduate in any finance field, but I am keeping in my mind to have some access to some related articles and books that tell finance. The future will depend on the financials of everyone, people have great effects when it comes to daily needs, and all of us want security. **And I don't just want to secure things out, I also want to educate my child on how to secure things on their own.** Inflation made us realize that the younger child shall be embedded in the cash flow. They could be more ready for the future life outside. It was made that we will face a future with challenges soon, especially finances. We cannot expect inflation will go down to the ground, it may decrease a little, but it won't be as easy as before. Thinking about that made me realize that what if I was exposed to some economic reasoning or teaching in my younger days? We are fond of listening to young CEOs or successful business owners in their younger days, same reasons and the same thinking they all have. As early as a child, they have been exposed to money, bills, and payment. They were part of solving the family's financial problems. That goes to my mind, and soon enough, I wanted to teach my child in a way that would be easy as it was part of his life dealing with money or the cash flow of the family's needs and wants. Because this is what is lacking in this today's era, some parents never discuss this with their children thinking about the old concept of ***"They are still young, and they won't understand"*** some parents never let their children be in them when they count money, they think that they are still so young. But the reality is that; more parent exposing their child to money had more chances of developing the FQ. Little by little, they understand. Some parent started their work by telling their child to have a piggy bank or jars. Where encouraging their child to save up money for the future. Others have explained to their child their bills for the internet or even electricity; a considerable number. Giving them the insight that they must save energy or control their vices, explaining that toys are not that good, or having many things is never beneficial. I believe that intelligence starts at home before school, and I think that a child's mind in learning has more understanding when their parent first explains things. That's what I wanted, that kind of security I will give them. FQ doesn't just focus on the business-minded child, as some Asian country does to their children. Financial understanding about saving, investment and profit as young as they were. Were convincing them that they could make a profit from the one they loved the most. *Like us, we love to write and read, making sense for us to earn from it. Others love to paint, and they get money from it. Others loved sports. They could get something by doing so, and it's like freedom of doing what they love yet promising they will secure things out for themselves.* Some people found it challenging to start financing and were afraid of holding a large amount of money. Our duty as a parent and soon-to-be is to show them how to create. Start by investing your child's money. As the Filipino culture of Christmas and birthdays were their birthday party, some relatives give Aguinaldo's to your child. Think carefully, as it was his money, not yours. Save it until the day they can now hold and use it on its own. Imagine the years that their Ninang and Ninong will give them a cash gift, or their relatives who will bring good luck financially? That way, you should save up things for their future. As we wished to secure things for our children, also make ourselves their motivation, and be role models. Learn to save up, cope, and find your FQ so the child will see that in you, and they could have more courage to do so. There are many young people in the bitcoincash community, and soon enough, we will face the world. Think carefully, as the world is powering up by inflation, issues, and pandemic. Start treating your child to find their Financial Intelligence Quotient.
