*📖WE ARE WITNESSES AND NOT STAR-GAZERS*

📜He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority *Acts 1:7 (ESV)*
📋The disciples of Jesus were concerned with when they will wield political power on earth. Jesus knowing their desire answered that they have the Holy Spirit to make them rule their world and they need not look into God’s personal diary. The Kingdom of God is a present reality yet to be fully realised. For Jesus to establish his earthly Kingdom, was not an urgent matter than his disciples’ being witnesses in the world. He rather warned them against the deceptions that were to come. We may be deceived because we tend to take delight in speculative reading of the Bible. The Lord had told us earlier that when the Holy Spirit comes, he will lead us into all truth. In following the Holy Spirit, we should have no fears about what we ought to do, where to be and what time it is on God’s timetable. Being God’s witnesses, he secures our safety as far as his plans are concerned. Heaven is real but the vehicle which carries us to heaven is the Holy Spirit. Let us be serious with our task as witnesses and stop gazing into the skies about when he returns. Do his will and faithfully follow the Lord as he leads.
_*🛐Meditation And Prayer:*_ Lord, thank you for the Holy Spirit who makes you rule in our lives as witnesses. Help us to depend on what you have revealed instead of following human speculations.
