📜O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you *Isaiah 30:19 (NIV)*
📋As human beings, we become over-anxious at times when life’s challenges become unbearable. Some of us even doubt whether God still hears and answer our prayers. In the text for today, the people of Zion also thought that God had stopped answering their prayers. The plan and the purpose of God concerning us remain solid and unchangeable, but when we decide to have our own way, then he will seem to be far from. The Bible says; “Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear” (Isaiah 59:1-2). God is ever prepared to hear and answer our prayers; however, what matters is maintaining good relationship with him. Just as God expected the Israelites to obey him first, we must also do the same and he will answer our prayers. Have you given up in prayer, thinking that God does not answer your prayers anymore? Hold on to your faith and trust in him, he will answer you.
